When I get more secure in my crochet skills, I am going to brave a Bonnie creation 💕 I have one her books, a wonderful book as a carrot before my nose..❣️

Thank you for your kind support Happy Camper! These cables can be a bit challenging if you've never worked them before. One suggestion to to make a pillow (by making 2 squares) just to try out the stitches. Mistakes are allowed when learning! You can even use up some stash yarn that you don't need. Insert pillow form into the center and use the Knurl stitch to stitch it closed.

I really want to learn cables. I am an experienced crocheter, but have always been intimidated by cables. Thinking of ordering your beginning cables book.

Bonnie, I haven’t been able to crochet for about 3 months. A lot of health issues but I think I’m almost on the mend. This pattern looks positively interesting! A wattle stitch?…I’ve never heard of it. But I think they’re totally within my grasp. The cable part…I’m going to have to rewatch and try a few times. Thank you for a new to me pattern! I wanna learn how to do this!

The yarn I’m working with is a worst weight but it’s not that soft, so was wondering if I could use a K 6.5 hook so it won’t be so stiff. With that work🤔
@BonnieBayCrochet Жыл бұрын
Definitely experiment with the larger hook to see if you like the fabric it makes.

I have the hardest time finding the hdc stitches on the bpdc row after the cross cable row. Would it work to leave out the hdc on the center cable? I have done cable patterns that don't have hdc between the cable stitches.
@BonnieBayCrochet Жыл бұрын
All other crochet cabling does not use hdc. This is my special version of these stitches. I believe the hdc give the cable more definition. If you omit the hdc, your stitch count will be greatly affected.
@andreap7444 Жыл бұрын
You're right, of course. I bought the pattern, watched the video and now that I pretty much have the sequence memorized I will try again. My cables are not as well defined as yours. I am going to start again. I think all your cable patterns are amazing and look so much more authentic than other crochet cabling I have done. It's worth doing over to get it right. Thanks. @@BonnieBayCrochet
