While I don’t think that Caine can or will Abstract, I *do* think that he will continue to hit existential moments and become a threat to the well-being of those trapped in the Circus. Probably completely accidental, too. Like if a part of the circus floor fails to render and someone just falls irretrievably into the Void.

I feel like you forgot a few details 1 - Caine is an AI, not a person, he runs on a program 2 - it has been confirmed that there won't be a season 2, the 8/9 episodes is all we'll get 3 - in Caine's therapy session, that was more of a case of a program facing a paradox, a "does not compute" moment

Not doing a season 2 is a terrible financial decision. Digital circus is one of, if not the largest series on the internet currently. If Glitch doesn’t make a season 2, someone else like Amazon definitely will.

There’s no reason to unnecessarily bloat a show when the story is already completed.

It’s unclear how real the circus is to Caine. All the humans are at different levels of acceptance that the circus is their new reality, and then Caine is in an odd spot. It seems at first that he’s never known anything different, but escalators and therapist’s offices feel so out of place in the circus that I have to wonder if Caine is pulling from some attachment to real life. And if he does have some attachment to real life, then falling too far into it and starting to miss the real world would probably make him abstract. Poor Enchanted :( free my boy he ain’t done nothing wrong

Haven't watched the vidoe yet(obviously) but Caine abstracting could be really horrible if that can happen. 1. A rampaging monster would be roaming about that may or may not keep his abilities 2. All the humans and NPC's are left to their own devices 3. Anything that Caine is needed to maintain bugs, the other abstracted folk, whatever could fall apart In general Caine abstracting could be a fate worse than death given we also don't know if the humans bodies are still connected to their brain or not(probably not as they don't require food, sleep, and water to function) unless someone is purposely putting these people into the circus but anyway. It would probably lead to a One situation(minor spoilers) the objects learn to keep themselves alive when Airy leaves for months.
