Its pretty much a metaphor for hardcore drugs like coke. Its REALLY common for artists like singers to get involved w drugs bc they believe it helps the creative process. And of course the whole thing with the hairless mindless vampires is an allegory for people who are heavily addicted to drugs to the point where it basically consumes them

I know covid plagued this season, but the Red Tide was so interesting. I wonder how good it would've been with 10 episodes. Could've gotten the characters more to do, more backstories, especially Denis, Billie and Adina.

This is the first season i really disliked at the end. Like, just cause you're not creative doesn't mean you dont have talent??? And they did the mom so dirty I was PISSED. And then it just ended. Livid. Edit: I was waiting for something to happen to knock these mfers off their high horse, but nothing.

I think they really meant talent, of any kind. They just happened to show only people who worked in creative areas. You could even say that the daughter wasn't really a creative person; we don't see her composing her own music, her talent was merely interpretative.

@MarianFK but talents require different abilities, and those abilities don't all use the same one part of the brain. Talent just doesn't work like that. Not to mention, you can learn talents, improve them, or lose them over the years. Talent isn't something solid. It's not something a certain amount of people have installed in their brain at birth. Learned talent and natural are both valid. Natural talent still needed to learn how to use their talent at one point. They just have a better jumping off point. Edit: Also, they kept using talent and creative interchangeably. And now that you brought up the daughter, I'm even more mad cause you're fcking right. At least the mom did SOMETHING.

I hated how they left everything unfinished. Alma got rid of her competition but they just cut it off there ...like I wanted to see what happens when she noticed theres no more pills and everything she did up to that point was useless. It would have been so satisfying to watch!!

I liked this half of the season. The other part with the aliens was a no for me. It had potential, but fell very very short. Brave of Ryan Murphy to put the season out the way he did. I know he said covid messed up his original plans, but I think people would have been ok with waiting.

Red tide gave me a lot of early seasons of American Horror story vibes. I loved it so much. The finale of the red tide could’ve been better. The second half of the season is one I don’t wish to talk about. Red tide was cut in half, but delicate was given two parts??? Ryan Murphy has no idea what he’s doing anymore.

Honestly it would’ve been better if red tide ended at episode 5- like we didn’t even need the last episode since they didn’t even answer the questions we had about the season- like yeah i would rather another episode that gave some closure but I’m just saying if they weren’t going to then they should’ve just kept episode 6 to themselves. Here are my thoughts about Double Feature, before watching this video. If you hit on these points during the video, I apologize. The first five episodes of Double Feature, on their own, are quite possibly the best run the show ever had, which makes the last five episodes so infuriating. If they stopped Red Tide at episode five and then gave Death Valley another episode to give all of those characters a little bit more time to develop and provide a more satisfying inclusion… it could have been the best season ever made. I didn’t mind the presidential/conspiracy theory storyline either. I thought it had so much potential within this show’s universe. Not to mention the countless ways that these two halves could have been tied into every single other season of the show, but did literally NOTHING to do it. Not even the minimal effort. Still upsets me to this day. But, as it stands, it is the season that permanently damaged AHS and brought it to a state of permanent decline, regardless of all the growth I think NYC had exhibited for the show. It just had the unfortunate task of following this dog-shit season. And that’s why Double Feature will always be my worst season. Even worse than Delicate. And the final blow to the head is that this may very well be the last roles that Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Frances Conroy have in AHS… unless Ryan keeps his promise about bringing the witches back for another season. However, SP has already said she probably wouldn’t ever be returning to the show. If season 13 is the last, I hope they can somehow write a satisfying ending to bring all the major players back and put a nice bow on it. As nice a bow as they can at this point. SMH.

I know how you become one, but id think eventually they die or something, instead of scaring the town constantly?
