What I find interesting about the Ian and Mickey relationship is that they're literally Monica and Frank 2.0. Bipolar who randomly goes off their meds sometimes and alcoholic deadbeat dad. Do I think they should've been endgame? Absolutely not. Is it funny that they are? Kind of. (3 hours in btw, took two breaks in between, might fall asleep to it, but I will come back to the last thing I remember before my brain shuts off)

The part when Sheila is asking Frank about Karen’s teachers, and how they praised Karen, and how Sheila couldn’t really help her due to her agoraphobia, was so touching and also heartbreaking. She was so proud of Karen right there, and wanted to better herself and leave the house, but she just couldn’t do it yet. 💔 :(

5:21:15 that shit pissed me off. When you become a legal guardian, youre that guardian, for LIFE. Liam was only, what, two(??) when fiona gets guardianship of them? She was told that she needs to be there for the kids until they are ALL 18, she accepts that. You quite literally are at the TOP of their emergency contact list. As a child who was parentified young, i truly understand fiona's postion, when youre not ASKED to raise your siblings, and your parents just DROP the responsibility on you, its hard, its super difficult, and its the reason why i dont want children myself. BUUUUUT fiona literally consents to doing this in a court-signed document. The way she turns her back on the siblings really pissed me off. 😅

Billie Lourd was literally handed her first two roles because of who her parents are: a lead role on the series Scream Queens and a featured role in one of the Star Wars movies. She’s managed to develop some acting chops along the way, but she hardly struggled. Jamie Lee Curtis is another nepo baby who struggled early in her career with guest starring roles in TV shows before landing her first lead role in Halloween. Despite its success, she still didn’t get any offers off of it and accepted a role in The Fog that was written for her by John Carpenter because he felt bad that she hadn’t gotten any work. Now she’s an Academy Award winner. There have always been nepo babies, but not all of them are talented and not all of them get the same opportunities as others.

@@bekindrewind335 i never said Billie Lourd was completely helpless….i meant she earned the roles she got because she can act. idk why you brought up Jamie Lee Zionist into this conversation tho because this has nothing to do with her.

I know I'm in the minority but Baal is my fave episode, and I've re-watched it a bunch. I love Billie Lourd, I like her odd delivery of the stilted dialogue, gives it this eery hyper-unrealistic vibe I just fuck with, and I loved that she ended the episode bedding the demon, a nasty lil twist on the usual demonic pregnancy trope (in my opinion, anyway). It wasn't a perfect episode, I don't know why they wrote her hating her baby halfway through but then really wanting a second one, I think it would have been better to have her love motherhood but feel threatened by people gaslighting her into her baby being taken away/locked up etc.

Sorry for long reply xD I get that people have valid criticisms etc, about problematic behaviour. But I was always so grateful to have a character like Mickey as representation. No he's not perfect, yes he is incredibly problematic at parts, but it's so important to have a gay character like him in a situation he was in. No not all gay characters have to have a hard time, but recently a lot of gay media seems to ignore people who grow up in a situation like Mickeys. Which is also good, because it's lovely to see gay characters who just get to live a normal life, like any other characters, and that we get sweet romances. But it's so important not to neglect that there are gay people in Mickeys situation, and they are just as valid and deserve representation. Not all gay people have supportive loving families, a lot live in awful poverty, and deal with things like r*pe, murder, and abusive parents, who force their ideaologies onto their kids and force them to adopt them. What shows is how he did develop in ways, and while still not perfect, he shows that a lot of his dads views, were never his own and how hard it is for him to go against that at first, and how brave/strong he is to come out the other side. And his relationship with Ian, again while not perfect, is important to have representation of gay relationships dealing with mental health issues, and the poverty cycle. There are plenty of people who live lives like Mickey and Ian, and are not like them, are not as problematic. But their representation is still incredibly strong and hopeful. I always related more to their story because of my upbringing, dealing with poverty and abuse from family. I could relate more to them, than other representation. But you still sometimes want to escape the reality and just watch something easy, and sweet, and wholesome. Mickey and Ian are incredibly flawed and not perfect representation, they are also not the only type of representation there should be, as all types are incredibly important. But I always appreciated them showing a gay couple in such a shit situation, get a happy hopeful ending.

I kind of suspect that Max, the guy who sold Fiona her partnership and the guy who bought her apartment building, Pushed Fiona into it in order to secure the partnership and maybe the apartment building for himself later. He knew she didnt have money, he knew the partnership deal would need more funds to get past red tape, like it always does in landing dealings, and he knew that she would be stretched too thin. He, like Fiona's boss, knew that piece of real estate was only going to be more valuable in the future and He just so happened to show up on the day of her openhouse, taking advantage of her finacncial situation. And when Max buys Fiona's share of the partnership that gives her the 100k, maybe he always intended her to be a place holder for that share of the deal so that he could take it from her later, after overextending herself, which he expected to happen. i mention this, because while a lot of characters have been really hated, by the other characters and the audience, i have never really seen anyone accuse Max of being some Big bad for Fiona's girlboss era

Ryan Murphy is just an awful person in general and likes to keep other awful people around him (like Emma Roberts) there hasn't been a good season since 1984, and cult, apocalypse and Roanoke weren't very good.
