I freely admit that prior to this season I didn't watch the WNBA, but it wasn't Clark that got me curious, it was the latest NCAA Women's tournament. I assumed that if the quality of play was that good at the collegiate level it must be even better at the professional level. I was wrong. And the pettiness I've seen has been worse than play on the court. Comments that Caitlin Clark has only garnered the attention she has received was because she is a white hetero female is nothing but blatant bigotry. If someone doesn't want to be marginalized by their race or sexuality, then don't marginalize others. That, by definition, is hypocrisy and I have spent too many hours of my life combating racism and homophobia to not speak out when the very people I spoke for are doing and saying the same vile crap in reverse that I fought against my entire life.
