@@notrealy180217 we arent rewarding behaviour, America is letting predatory lending practices continue and just do nothing about it, but then blame the people who end up with the debt, and you know NOT the banks or lenders preying on people who can't manage their finances. Hell in Australia the government forced an overhaul of lending to ensure that banks were confident that borrowers were able to pay back debts. Seems like America hasn't caught onto holding lenders accountable, even after the scandal of sub prime mortgages.

I think it would be helpful if you broke down the participants spending similar to the circle graph you put on the screen for the audience. Then if they say "I don't spend a lot on ______" you can show them their allocation (i.e., you spent 45% on eating out, 50% on rent, 5% on misc) or something of that nature. I just think there's a common theme of responses of "I need ____because (fill in the blank)" When you break down their current spending allocation compared to the advice for spending allocation maybe they will be able to see what needs to be changed more clearly.

Yes and totals of just how much a month they're spending on coffee, eating out etc. It's easy to not really take in the reality of the spending when it's just ten dollars here or there and people justify it as a want. But when you say you spend 400 dollars on eating out, coffee 200 dollars etc people realise how it adds up 😊

Here is the thing to keep in mind. You are 21, you literally have 44 years before standard retirement. You can easily be a temporarily embarrassed future millionaire if you budget, save, and invest consistently. Every $1 you invest today will be $88 at 65. That means you only need to save $109 a month from now until you are 65 to be a millionaire at 65. Even sooner if you can get that up to 300, 400, 500 dollars a month. You are at your prime savings years. Just keep that in mind when making financial decisions.

Just a note to anyone who may be interested in making espresso drinks at home. There are, from what I believe, two options for machines. The breville he talks about in the video and the Gaggia Classic Pro. The former comes with a grinder built in which is fine and the latter is just a machine where you need to buy your own grinder. I have the Gaggia Classic Pro and have done some small modifications to make it perform better. I say get the breville if you just want espresso and don't care beyond that, but get the Gaggia if you want to grow in the hobby as it allows for more control. Just make sure to get a good grinder that can grind fine enough for espresso, it can either be electric or a hand grinder. There are plenty of youtube videos to help you on an espresso journey or to just inform yourself.

Your hesitance about condo makes no sense. He’s paying $700 towards an asset he can resell in the future for some value, at least, regardless of appreciation. The alternative is paying double that to a landlord with nothing to show for it at end of the day. There is absolutely no opportunity cost - this is not money he would’ve/could’ve saved otherwise

Honestly watching people fail with money is entertaining because I’m in a very good financial position right now due to my personal sacrifices I have $0 debt, savings , 2 paid off mustang gt’s and live by myself and make $40k a year and the same age as this guy 25 as a black man in America we are usually seen at the bottom. It makes me want to keep hustling and reach my financial goals.

All these finial audits are the real world result of not teaching home economics in school anymore. A generation of people who don't know basic life skills, like how to cook their own food or how a credit card works.

These videos and your channel have been so helpful to me. I am in my late thirties and was great at budgeting and staying out of debt through my twenties but was also making very little money and wasn’t putting anything towards retirement or investments. As my income got over six figures my spending got more and more out of control, and at the same time I was turning down opportunities to work and make more than I already was. It was so easy to lie to myself that because I have a lot coming in I don’t need to think about where it’s all going. I recently made another big increase to my income, financed a new truck, and finally began to think about what I am doing with my money and why I don’t have so much more in savings and investments. Your content has motivated me to redo my budget, stop ALL of my excessive spending, start taking on all the extra work that I can, get rid of this STUPID truck payment, and begin investing aggressively. Thank you.

I need to figure out how to use audio of Caleb angrily saying, “Bird Bird Biscuit” anytime I open my wallet. If it isn’t a bill or groceries, Bird Bird Biscuit, shut that wallet you financial misfit 😂 That would be incredibly motivating!

The videos never stop getting better and better. Caleb, I'd highly recommend you try adding a #(number) to the end of the titles, so that way if someone wants to look up a specific video they can just search it up that way! I say that because I'm always recommending people check out videos but sometimes the titles can be similar! Keep up the great advice!

Agreed. I totally get it for single moms who have kids and are struggling, or people who are disabled or mentally ill. But a single healthy dude in his 20s? My tax dollars are paying for WHAT? Does he realize how lucky he is to be able bodied and have an above 100 IQ and live in a developed nation and he needs subsidized housing?
