When you are commenting on the ride, I have no idea what bike you were criticizing. "I found the Triumph to be....." Or, "The Indian was..." Just saying.

Hey chaps, it was the Indian - my butt was so sore after that ride I clearly did not articulate myself very well. The triumph was a dream and actually I liked the Indian save for the very hard seat, short suspension travel and and as a taller chap, the rider triangle was a bit cramped. All fixable with a few after-market parts. Thanks

The Indian Scout is also a short distance cruiser because of its Infamous seat that brings tears to many a tough guy because of the pain it delivers to the rider’s coccyx. This isn’t helped by the jarring caused by the rear 3 inch rear suspension travel combined with the semi horizontal angle of the rear shocks making the ride even harsher on the body.

Confused...where was the verdict on the Indian Scout Bobber?....... Why did you not test the Scout Bobber against the obvious rival , the TRIUMPH Bobber??? ...Honestly your artistic and filming content was great but your Editorial efforts were frankly rubbish!

Hi Markie, Thanks for the honesty. In answer to your first question, we were limited by what Triumph had available in their press fleet. The main aim for us was, would we prefer a British versus American cruiser. We appreciate that you recognise the filming and and artistic style as well as your comments on the editorial - in this instance we have to agree with you. I think we were all caught up in the moment and enjoyment and lost focus on the 'versus' part. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Promise, we'll aim to do better. Warren

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment, I cant disagree, we were caught up in the moment and completely forgot the brief :) In short both great bikes for their genre but neither great for highway cruising in the USA on the awful roads. Get them into towns and the local coffee shop or brewery and they perform at their best. Personally for American riding I preferred the Indian, if I was in the UK I would have chosen the Triumph, firstly for aesthetic reasons, second for dealer support and lastly given the smaller roads and lanes in the UK I think the Triumph would fare batter with its tighter turning circle. We will (and have improved somewhat) on our video reviews since this video and will continue to do so. Criticism is a great step to learning.
