For those who started playing the game in 1.3 should probably pull both... Jiyan teams are pretty f2p since he has a four star support who is on the same banner so you can probably s6 mortefi. Same with camellya, she would be really good with sanhua, That gives you two amazing teams already.... The only thing is, that jiyan is pretty sig dependant.... As in jiyans sig is prety broken for him, and there is no alternative five star, but camellya would go very well with the standard 5 star weapon, since she has two instances of using the res skill .... ... But skipping jiyan to pull jinshi on her rerun would be a good choice too...

I still love my Jiyan. He's fast and does good damage but I need his weapon so I'll be pulling for that for sure, and maybe even pull to get a copy of Jiyan. Everything about him is still awesome and relevant in my eyes. Generally speaking I run him with Mortefi and Verina, but I've also run him around the open world and also fought bosses with him and Spectro Rover, Jinhsi, Yinlin, or Encore for fun and giggles. I've yet to be disappointed in his performance. Overall I really love his design and character. His story is really good to me also.

Something important to consider: Jiyan remains our only 5-star Aero character so far. That's a pretty big deal. For example, the first 3rd of the ToA right now favors aero characters .... which, for me, means Aalto and Yangyang, and that's about it. As good as Camellya may turn out to be, she's our 2nd Havoc 5-star behind Rover. As such, Cam will likely rerun BEFORE Jiyan does again, so I'm leaning toward picking him up right now and her up during her first rerun banner later on.

Agreed - I think the smart play, meta-wise, is to be able to field a capable (main) DPS for every element. That let's you play the match-ups for whatever the tower throws at us.

You don't really need a team for every element. The secondary tower buffs are usually a lot more impactful than the 30% element bonus, so all you need is to utilize that and make sure enemies don't have resistances. Personally I haven't had any issues in ToA for the past few towers with just Havoc Spectro and Fire

I love both husbandos and waifus, but I like it even more when it's equal. Jiyan is so damn cool, I just didn't pull for him at 1.0 cause I was saving for Yinlin, and cause I'm not a huge fan of his gameplay. But his character as a whole(personality, design, role as a general, etc) is incredible and I could pull for him just for that. Also, I don't know if it's just me, but I don't like when a game have too much of one gender cause it starts to feel appealing for one side ya know. For me, Kuro is messing up on this point. Give us a character cool as Aventurine. More husbandos, Kuro Games pls 😢😭😭

His liberation heavy attack melts right after. If your lib heavy attack does 13k or 14k dmg per hit, you're in a good spot cuz it racks up hundreds of thousands of dmg quickly

If you want to save pulls just pull jhinshi weapon. It is better for calcharo as well so it’s more universal. Yinlins sig is def goat. It works well on Zhezhi and Encore as well.

If you're gonna pull for Camellya, you might as well get her signature weapon. Camellya's sword will fix Havoc Rover's problem of not having a weapon that synergizes well with his kit. Emerald of Genesis is more of a stat stick than a BiS weapon. Since Camellya's sword gives a basic attack damage bonus, it will be perfect for Havoc Rover because most of his damage comes from his forte anyway. He spends most of the time doing basic attack damage.

Only if you plan to main H.Rover really, genesis is enough for H.Rover. Because Rover dmg comes from his Liberation, Forte Basic Attack then the Dreamless, idk what Outro skill camellya will have but if she was given a amplified havoc dmg and liberation for incoming resonator like Changli etc, then you pretty much need to offer Camellya weap to Rover because of amplified havoc + with Rover Forte basic attack, its going to delete alot of bosses.

In fact ☝️🤓, EoS it's still a really good weapon for Rover. You always have the weapon stacked because you need to fill up their forte first, and that energy regen effect helps a lot to get the desired 120~140% ER the protag needs But ye, Camellya's sword it's still amazing for him. The sword of Changli its technically better, but for anyone who doesn't have the sword it's an incredible choice anyway

Personally For me only two things matter when scaling DPS One is basic attack scaling character, it just means even the weakest of basic attack is gonna hit like a truck to enemies, making everything easier Second is hp scaling... I mean its kinda obvious, hp scaling means generally your attack is gonna be powerful if you are dps since dps stat is easier to get, on top of that you are incredibly tanky... Tho that makes you weak to healers since they cant heal you fast enough lol. Best example is neuvillite from genshin or blade from hsr, where blade might not be strong but in the lomg run he has way higher chance to win than any other dps due to his self surviviblity Honorable mention: characters position , obviously the creators will make a god like character way stronger than anyone else lol

I wanted to go for him again and already had so much pity built up, lost my 50/50, but with all the leftover asterite i had, i was able to pull not one, but two copies of my boy Beyond happy with the added bonuses I get from his dupes

Both have their pros and cons, jiyan may not be a nuker but his blender mode really melts the hp of even high leveled enemies, plus points for the auto parry. Camellya is rumoured(?) to be second to jinhsi's dmg output but complicated to use (lots of trigger mechanism), she's the type of dps that maximize her dmg the longer she stays on field. In terms of fun, I would pick Camellya because of her unique gameplay. For comfortability, it would be Jiyan.

You also have to consider the fact that Camellya has to compete with S6 havoc rover whilst Jiyan is quite literally the only aero dps. Also the fact that there isn't really a aero sup dps/support means that Jiyan could become even stronger than he is now. Jiyan is a massive jump for your aero damage whilst camellya might not even be that much better than S6 rover who also has built in synergy with the main havoc echo as well as the best support shorekeeper. From a meta perspective getting Jiyan would make a lot more sense.

Jiyan's signature is only ~11% better than Ages of Harvest (on Jiyan). That's not nothing - I still want to get it, I'm just saying that it's a more nuanced topic, depending on what you have. If someone already grabbed Ages of Harvest for Jinshi, then there's not as much pressure to get Verdant Summit for Jiyan.

Pull for who you want, simple, but if you want a little more detail on who to choose, heres my opinion: Jiyan’s Pros Good chance to auto parry at most times, Good 4 star support which is Mortefi, Simple gameplay and huge consecutive damage. Cons Quite reliant on sig. weapon, CC/Crowd Control doesn’t work on Bosses, not too F2P on weapon options. Camellya’s pros (can still be changed as of now) High consecutive damage, A.O.E of her attacks are Huge, possibly high burst damage, many options for her weapon, and sanhua is free. Cons She attacks mid air, Might not be able to cancel animations for dodging. Ill be picking camellya, i like her design and the way she talks, i’d want jiyan too but he’s clunky and i can’t buy astrites.

I’m going Camellia. I already have S1 R1 Jiyan. Only reason I am S1 Jiyan because I was trying to get S6 Mortefi but was unlucky to only get S1 for him after all of his reruns. I'm pulling for Jiyan. If I don't get him then I'll pull for Camellya. The only big problem I forsee is getting Jiyan then not getting his weapon if I run out of astrite. That would be a big bummer as a weapon for him won't be around likely for a quite a while. Even the 5 star razor isn't really on par with his sig weapon. But even if you don't get Jiyan, I feel like there is value in getting some Mort and Sanhua duplicates or if you don't have them. His banner this time has the best trio of 4-star resonators.

Jiyan. No other meaningful wind dps exist. Yang yang is ok, but not on par with havoc rover and Danjin combo. That combo will certainly be powercrept by Camellya, but probably not in a "she can clear, but they cant" way. For yangyang to clear on par with jiyan is much harder. Please take everything i say with a giant heaping of salt as I accidently pulled Jiyan on 20 pulls trying to get one copy of youhu and I am huffing copium as hard as I can right now.

I saved 130 pulls for jiyan and got him with first 10x pulls (50/50 won), im happy, salvation is here... Edit: got jiyans weapon 2x with 70 pulls, great for jiyan and calcharo getting both the same weapon for optimal DPS 🤟👍

@rohitnath7333 I know, wuwa is like the best gacha I ever had good luck in, also got my jinshi in 10 pulls and her weapon in 40 pulls / shorekeeper in 50 pulls / changli in 60 pulls -> always somehow won 50/50, got like every 5 star event charakter with luck, except zhezhi (didnt want to pull for her -> saving) and yinlin (too late for her banner)

2.0 is a long time, you can definitely get either Jiyan or Camellya and still get the 2.0 character.

My biggest question is if Camellia will be that much better than a rc6 Havoc Rover? I have spent a lot building Rover already, so worried id build two main DPS for no real reason...
