Cammed Mopar 318 - Open Headers

Mild-built 318 w/ Summit 6901 camshaft and open long tube headers, idling around 600-700rpm. In my '85 D150 project. This cam has phenomenal low-end, even with open headers.

I've seen people say you can modify 318 cams to fit the 3.9 but I have yet to see a build where this is the case

I have a 1968 Barracuda with a 318 and it just has a Cam with so summit mufflers and it sound almost exactly like this

What springs did you have to use ? Also can you put the link to the cam and lifters you used with it ?

This is just open long tube headers on a mild built motor with a fairly small cam. I wouldn't recommend open headers if you plan on driving it very much. The video doesn't do the volume justice, lol. It would shake your teeth out. Look at my more recent videos about the truck. I had am exhaust made for it that's a much more reasonable volume, and it sounds alot better.

Zach Couch thinking of getting this cam for my 2000 ram do I have to put anything else in the motor besides the cam?

@@b3nnyfi3lds27 Summit says this cam is only compatible with the '64-'91 small-blocks. The '92+ Magnum configurations use a different kind of lifters that need a different kind of cam, as far as I know.

It wasn't race engine loud, still had stock compression. Couldn't drive it without earplugs though, lol.
