I’ve often said professional equipment operators are like surgeons with their tools. Very cool of you to teach a real surgeon how to operate the ex. Great to hear Eva is doing so well after the procedure.

I'm a retired, after 40 years of practice, ObGyn doc. Operating my BH77 backhoe, doing fine work around my plants, structures, and roads requires the same concentration, dexterity, and "muscle memory" as many of the surgical procedures I did. Also, the "operation" of the machine is best achieved by a specific mental focus that I find better than meditation exercises I did in the past. Finally, the self-appreciation of a job well done recalls those feelings as I exited the OR, especially after a challenging project approaches completion. Thanks for the merging of medical, surgical, family, 2nd opinions, heavy equipment, botany, and competitive pumpkin growing issues.

What a blessing to have amazing people like Dr. Friedlander. I have taken my wife to UPMC in Pittsburg for some neurological issues and I can say first hand that ALL of the folks in that department and pretty much the entire facility are fantastic to work with. Great video Mike and Melissa , so happy that daughter Eva can enjoy life again.

Mike, Thank you for sharing this gem in the medical field. My Dad had Trigeminal Neuralgia in 1989 and waited in tremendous pain for 5 weeks for an appointment and ultimately had surgery at UPMC Dr. Jannetta. The decompression surgery saved his life. My oldest daughter was born the week he had surgery so we always measure the years he gained by her age. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2011 of PSP, another brain disorder. Your sister is a hero because she makes the surgeries a more comfortable experience for patients. My Dad marveled at the whole operation there. Love your channel… I watch because you are good people and its great to known there are still people like you all in the world. Keep up the great work! Mike Kaufmann

This was so cool. I remember the video in his office. It was such a scary time w Eva's surgery being canceled and Dr F. Was going to do it. He was Eva's angel. I prayed for Eva daily and I know many others were also, so yes he was definitely her angel. How nice to have him over to have a taste of the Morgan compound. A man in his profession has spent a large percentage of his life in study and work, it's nice to know that he has time to get out and enjoy life w his friends and compete w Christian growing giant pumpkins. How cool! I just love this channel. 👍🚜❤🇺🇸🇺🇸

What a wonderful video! If you remember i sent you a message regarding your first video with the DR. It helped us figure out what was going on with my granddaughter. She has been diagnosed with the same thing as Eva and is scheduled to have her surgery in December. She wanted to wait until she was on break from college. She is 17 years old and-will graduate from high school this coming spring and has earned her associate degree in electrical engineering and is going for her bachelors degree. We are all so blessed to have seen your first video to help us in this journey. I am so grateful for you sharing. We are so glad you’re daughters are doing well. I’m so disappointed I couldn’t get to the show in Cambridge this month as I was under the weather. There’s always next year.

For someone that has had a stroke I understand what the brain is capable of. Things that were automatic had to be relearned and 13 years later I am still working on things, as little as they are I am still learning. The people that say you only use a portion of your brain, loose a piece and see how much you really use. I appreciate the Drs. that do what they do.

What they accomplish together when working in a tertiary care facility like U of Pennsylvania is a testimony to their work ethic and ongoing desire to improve overall patient health care. Where, oh where is the "DOGGONE, I FLAT LOVED this video" button??? OK, guys, this video goes directly into the glamorous HALL OF FAME for Outdoors With the Morgans videos! I'm just bubbling with so many emotions: glee, thankfulness, appreciation and respect for amazing talent, and complete amazement. Thank y'all for having Dr. Friedlander out. And, I hope he does, in fact, come back for many more visits. Maybe he can drop a deer from the hunting cabin! Now, I'm going to share this video with all my contacts in the regional health care community. It is my very high honor to serve on the Institutional Review Board (IRB -- and all hospital systems that engage in clinical trials will know exactly the purpose and value of the IRB) for the North Mississippi Health System (NMHS), a multi-award winning system of hospitals and clinics throughout North Mississippi. I shared out the earlier video from Dr. Friedlander's office and I know my colleagues will enjoy watching this one--when these surgeons get to enjoy some "life outside the surgery bubble." ~~Dr. Larry S. Morgan's, THANK YOU for possibly helping everyone that has a neurological issue!! With as many people watching your channel, UPMC has to see an uptick in calls each time you talk about Eva's surgery or talk to this fantastic Doctor. Just as Stacy said about people that have been told that they just have to live with it may be able to find a cure at UPMC. You are doing one of the things that needs to be done, getting the word out there so that it eventually gets to the person that needs the services provided at UPMC.

Thanks for this video. Eva looks great and it is great to see doctors finding a new way to release tension. You are right we are fortunate in our area.

There’s no doubt that Prays were answered when Eva’s first surgery was canceled. The exposure to Dr. Friedlander through Eva’s surgery is going to allow many people to receive treatment. One of your best videos.

Thanks Mike and Melissa for this update. So glad to see Eva doing so well. I showed one of my employees this and the original video for issues he is having after enduring a near death auto accident. Hoping he can get in before the holidays to get the doctor(s) assessment of his injuries and if they can help him.

I really enjoyed this casual reconnection with the neuro surgeon who corrected Eva's problem. I also enjoyed meeting your sister. It is a different type of presentation, but it's good to see.
