Can a ceramic coating be removed? There are some things to consider before doing this...

I have CLS +Exo on my car obviously after proper prep. Got a scratch on my hood that basically only I could see but it bothered me. I can tell you even the consumer grade CSL + Exo was more difficult to polish off then any other coating I have removed. It took an aggressive pad using a compound/ polish combo to remove, then a cleaner polish to remove the scratch.

Great video. Is ceramic coating flexible enough to not Crack if I need to take my bumper off to replace an engine part? I have to flex the bumper a little near the fender to remove from the clips.

The Toyota dealer applied a ceramic coating to our 2022 Camry before we purchased it. I have noticed the windshield has a slight orange peel distortion right there in my line of sight. Is there a way to remove the coating from the windshield...I'm assuming it is the ceramic coating causing the problem?

Hi, my car was professionally ceramic coated a couple of months ago and I now want to put on a thin spoiler lip. Its a Mk 7.5 GTI which has a flat spoiler (not curved) and the lip is OEM, so will be perfectly contoured to fit (the same style lip as on the US Rabbit special edition). Will the ceramic coating impact the adhesion of the 3M tape and if so, what are my options please?

Thanks for this video! Very informative. I should have watched it last month before applying the Apex Surface Protection Metal Oxide. I polished prep my SUV correctly. I applied the coating, but I have a couple of hot spots. I bit more than I can chew and should have used a different product.

Hi there, great info on things to consider before wanting to remove ceramic coating. My brand new car was just ceramic coated a week ago with ( AvalonKing armour shield ix ) over ppf but i was suppose to install a hood deflector before the coating. Is there anything i can do?

Not really. You can either polish off the current coating or apply fresh coating over the new deflector. Depending on how the deflector is applied it may or may not make installation harder.

Just to be clear, are you taking about an interior coating applied to plastics, vinyl, ect? Or a paint coating that was applied to the surfaces?

@@VisualProDetailing Ceramic Trim coating applied to interior trim that has dried. With raised section due to a lot of ceramic applied and some finger prints.

@@cjanderson1011 you can try some APC and a hard bristle brush but that may be very hard to remove. Do a test spot first.

Can you estimate how hard CQuartz UK 2.0 is to remove? I did a 90 - 95% paint correction before installing it but I want to remove it to install a graphene coating. Adams says they'll adhear to a previous coating, Ethos say theirs will not.

Any sort of machine polishing should remove it quickly.
