I use to think the same thing thing till I started budgeting a lot better to be able to afford the payments on it I financed my first one and paid it off and sold it and was able to buy this exact same turbo R last week! Just be patient it’ll come one day! Waited literally years to be able to get one

Nailed it. $10k dirtbikes. Nary a sport quad or trail bike to be found. I scooped a Kawi KLX300 this summer for five grand new otd. Bought a Mule Pro MX last fall for use around the property. I got both for less than my buddy paid for his Ranger XP.

Zero to 60- I got 6.02 average after three timings. I used your speedo, but editing didn’t show 100kph. So it was a mix of your start/stop image and the speedo. Still fast, but maybe even sub 6s is possible. Nice review!

You dont want a grab bar on the glove box on a bike like this.you'll break your arms.Its designed to plant your feet on floor and push with bent knees.Same on side handles.You have a slight bent in your arms. So on impact there's give.

@@richfarfugnuven6308 Polaris seating is much closer with adjustable 4 pin holes I believe .. it slides away and towards you adjust it accordingly. Not the best design in my opinion. Time will tell. There's no information I seen yet on safety. The cage has to meet standards. I have not seen the crash dummies on a head on impact holding the bar that be something to see. But think about it. If you run into a tree arms extended good chance youll hurt them. Run into a tree and slight bend you got give

I was in one of the 4 door canams and the dude rolled it. Wasnt to bad though the harnesses held me in good and the cage held up great. The mirrors didn't even break. His buddy just hooked so e straps to it and flipped it back over

Unfortunately Maine has a 60 inch max width on all of our trails with many gates at 60 and 62. I have a commander and hit my flares on gates and bridges a lot.

I think I'd pass on this one just because of the sight line to the front like you were saying. I like tight and technical trails... if I can't see in front of me it's no good. I'll go for a sport, or any of the Rzrs 1st.

I like your reviews but wouldn't this with 14" of ground clearance but 20+ inches of travel mean you are going to be riding on the skid plate and impossible to use that 20+ inches of travel?

Did the maverick sport handle good?

It certainly did. Nice and tight feeling, though the long wheelbase helps it feel smooth. It's certainly nothing like the X3 though. The Sport is much better suited for forested trails, while the X3 very much wants the desert to run flat out.

"Wasted" is not quite the right word to use. First of all, there is a less powerful X3 at just 120 HP - a little less power would probably feel better on the types of trails I rode in the video. Not as quick sure, but much more containable. But that doesn't solve the width. Only solution there is the Maverick Sport, and I'd say the best alternative has to be the Sport 1000R. Fun, fast and great handling. But it's still no X3 when it comes to suspension (although the new Maverick Sport X mr does have 14.75-inches of travel. Still, the X3 has 20-inches. Read about it here - www.tfloffroad.com/2018/09/new-2019-can-am-models-ready-for-rocks-mud-and-heavy-hauling/) If you like to go fast, the X3 is entirely addictive thanks to the suspension allowing you to fly over things that the Sport would have to slow down for. So to the original point, the X3 isn't wasted in any situation because it's amazing. You have to measure your risk tolerance, need for speed, and then factor in the cost, and you have your choice. Never an easy one to make!

TFLoffroad I purchased the sport 2 weeks ago. It’s just a little underwhelming in the speed department. That being said in the trails it feels great and I do not use all of the speed it offers. I ride a lot of gravel roads and that’s where it just feels like it’s not enough. The acceleration just isn’t there to me. That being said maybe it’s enough and the x3 is too much for where I ride. The dealer has made me a good trade offer on the 64” x3 they have. But it’s not an easy decision.

You don't read much do you? The RZR Turbo S is better than the base X3 Turbo R? Of course... it's not the direct competitor. Try the X3 XRC Turbo R and you're argument is invalid. Can-Am has won the last 3 UTV World Championships, even going 1-2-3 in multiple classes. It's so good, in fact, that Polaris has to put electronic suspension on their haggard heap of horrendous hogwash to barely get "as good as." However, there is a very important area that the RZR TOTALLY out does the X3... time in the shop.
