The thing that really didn't make sense about her story was that it was in middle school.. like no one talked about politics when I was in middle school, and that was during one of Obama's winning elections. So I can't imagine someone else bullying her for politics at that young of an age, but idk

@@toxicmaniax5719 yeah I get it. As a white Hispanic myself (I’m Mexican and Spanish, but significantly more Spanish/other European than I am indigenous), that’s definitely a privilege most of us have. That being said, I can recognize that I’ve probably had a significantly easier time navigating society being a “white” person than a more Indigenous Latin American/Hispanic person has. With her though, you just know that her race depends on who she’s with. If she’s with other white Conservatives, she’s white but in a situation like this she wants to claim the minority label.

Exactly, like thats the type of crap ppl dont get. Like we're not saying bad things dont happen to you, just that they dont happen to you bc of something about yourself that you cant change (race, sexuality etc. ) And it just made me so frustrated with the republicans bc while what happened to most of them was bad, they dont understand that just bc 1 bad thing happens to you by a minority doesnt mean all minorities are bad or like that or that only minoritys do that. Like that guy and his sexually assaulted sister. Its terrible she has to deal with that but just bc in her case it has to do with illegal immigrants, doesnt mean its ONLY illegal immigrants that do that nor that all illegal immigrants are like that. Its like he was blaming illegal immigrantion as a whole for what happened to his sister instead of the individual people who did it. They group abunch of ppl together based on that one experience (if they even have that) and base their entire beleifs around it. Also most of the bad things they experienced, they dont realize that minorities experience it at least twice as often for reasons they cant change. Its like instead of someone spitting on you once bc you choose to be a trump supporter, they spit on you every other day bc youre physically different from them and couldnt change if you wanted to.

@@MichaelGalanopoulos you seriously think the issue in your story was illegal immigration? not sexual assault? that exact situation could have occurred (and does occur everyday) by all American workers. if you have a problem with illegal immigration, you should have a problem with capitalism considering it is the reason illegal immigrants come here, because they know company owners (like our president) will underpay them over American citizens. but of course, the problem is 'socialism'. funny how no one asked how we paid for the massively bloated military budget that isn't close to needed, but the second it turned to healthcare and universities, things that actually benefit the people, it turned to 'socialism'. don't think the comments represent the majority opinion about you, you're just as close-minded as the rest, just in a different way.

I LOVE this channel! Im very interested in seeing peoples views from both sides of the spectrum and getting a chance to see everyones perspectives on many different topics. I encourage everyone to watch this channel because I feel it can help people have a more informed opinion on politics and social topics. I also really appreciate the added sources that are presented for subjects that are brought up in conversation. My only criticism is that very often with the prompts I would find myself very conflicted on whether to agree or disagree based on how they are worded due to them being too much of a blanket statement.

@@adamduffy164 Genuinely curious but what makes you feel that way? What is it about socialism that makes you feel so strongly? To answer your question, I think there are lots of things that could help. The system doesn't need to become outright socialist to tackle this issue: raising the minimum wage is a good idea, making education more accessible and affordable is a good idea, having more community service organizations that provide activities and assist in finding work is a good idea. And I guess I could throw that question backwards, do you feel like it's an issue that there are people working extremely hard yet barely making any income? I personally feel like it is, especially when considering that there are people that have the privilege to be simply handed money through something like an inheritance and not have to work a day in their lives living lavishly while poor people are barely making enough money to provide for their families.

If people have a say in who manages corporations, as well as being equally represented in all parts of government, then those representatives will have to have the best interests of the people at heart, or else they will lose their jobs. We have enough money to end homelessness in this country, yet it is better for nationalistic pride to keep give missiles to Israel and drone strike brown people overseas. So yeah, I think we should definitely consider socialism. Maybe you should read about it too, before saying muh cuba and Venezuela

This implies that in order to have a job the parents must work for it so considering why arent the parents working and why having a job is not a right combine together shows that in order to get a job and live a successful life you/ parents/ grandparents/ ancestors all have to work hard to achieve that goal the parents should have put more effort in society to make life better for their child unsuccessful people pave the way for successful people and successful people continue the growth.
