What If : 1. We buy Figo diesel 1.5 top end in comparison with swift petrol top end both cost same. Figo comes with 6 air bag and more fuel efficient as diesel and more mileage. 2. If 1 want to buy petrol only why not Skoda rapid petrol 1.0 tsi? I think in todays world there are much safer car and attractive deals than Maruti cars.

Brother, test drive Tata Tiago XZ plus if you are looking for a hatcback. Feels very sturdy on highway even on high speed. Low maintenance and good mileage, has got 4star rating in GNCAP. Though the engine is not as refined as maruti and hyundai cars, however BS6 engine has improved a lot. Alternatively, I would suggest to test drive Ford Freestyle (petrol) . You would get Titanium model in approx 8-8.25lakhs after discounts. Low maintenance car with good ground clearance and safety features. But less mileage as compared to Tiago. Also check for service center near your area. As your running is 70% on highway, not recommending maruti or hyundai cars due to low safety scores and inferior build quality. If compact SUV, you can try Nexon/Brezza base model. Though the cost of maintenance will be slightly higher with less mileage. Hope it helps.

Why didnt U compare about safety aspect.. Weight of both cars have huge difference, about 200kgs I think. Thats why mileage, but.. Here safety comes. Ford scored 3 stars in global ncap with its base varient and single airbag.. For the very purpose of cars. Mileage safety with engine performance and comfort are more important than features...its my opinion.. Par log wahi kharidte hain jo jyada bikta hai.. Mileage me swift baji marti hai bas aur badhte petrol damo me yahi satya hai.. Nahi to figo har angle se achhi car hai

Many in the comment section are blaming the Indian customers for lack of their understanding of a good car ... but being a Ford owner twice in d past I think Ford India has to be blamed first as they have never been able to fulfill the aspirations of majority of Indian customers. I fail to understand that with such good cars why Ford always falls short in features which ultimately causes customers to drift away. Ford has been fooling around with loyal customers by just making little cosmetic changes. Ford doesn’t seem to be taking Indian market seriously 😡

I don't agree with u Ashish as just because of features & fuel economy swift stays ahead. No one in this segment can beat figo in terms of driving dyanmics, high speed stability and built quality as these are the main factors that anyone buying a new car should consider rest of the things really doesn't matters in car...! Ofcourse Ford has to come up with more features in figo as projector headlamps, keyless entry, lite clutch peddle makes it better for city driving.

@@pranavp386 1st generation swift was durable. That's how it gained a reputation in the market. This one is plain crap. People who are buying it will regret badly after 3-4 years. Even ignis is better than this swift. And on the performance part... have you even driven both cars? There is a clear winner that is figo. It's highway performance simply can't be matched by even baleno, let alone swift.

@@abhishekgupta1066 Dude the current gen Swift is in the market for a long time. It's pretty durable. I know tons of people who have driven this for a long time....but It's not well built neither is it safe. As for the performance...when it comes to the petrol engine and gearbox the Swift is hands down the best in the segment and yes I have driven the new swift and the diesel figo. For handling it is much softer than before and is obviously not as good as the ford.
