17:06 For those wondering, this Future Sight hurt a lot due to the way Future Sight used to work, prior to Gen 5. Essentially, the damage calculations for Future Sight used to be done back when the move was selected and not when the damage was dealt. This means that if Future Sight was used on a Pokemon with mediocre Special Defense and the opponent switches to a different Pokemon with a high Special Defense, the new Pokemon would take the damage that the original target would have taken. Even a well built high level Blissey can be one-shot due to the way Future Sight used to work.

Hey MDB i love your vids so i thought of a challange you might be able to do In pokemon SoulSilver smeargle starts out with the move sketch which allows him to copy and learn any move once and then the moves will be replaced by the copied move. This means you can have six smeargles with one move each which could be an interesting challange. Good luck

Looking forward to the Shadinja Emerald run! :) Small tips for Shadinja: 1. Try and teach it Protect, Double team, or Dig from TMs when you can. (will help evade super-effective moves) 2. EV train for speed and attack. (Shedinja is the literal definition of glass-cannon) 3. When possible, equip Pecha or Persim berries to prevent knockouts from confusion and poison. 4. Find and equip the Focus Band, it gives a 10% chance of surviving a killing blow! It can be found late in shoal cave near Mossdeep city.

Im not sure how to do this, but I think it sounds interesting: You are only allowed to use charging attacks ( attacks that need to be charged for one round and hit in the second). You can use multiple pokemon but no items in battle. I think its doable but it will take pretty long because even leveling takes twice the time. I dont know with which pokemon to start though

I only started playing Pokemon last week. Yes, I'm SUPER new. But that's because I had people saying "these games are so easy blabla" you know how it goes. Long story short, I'm a sucker for resource management systems across turn-based JRPG's so when I realized that I can resource manage in this game, first thing I did was google whether this is doable or not and woopdie do found your channel. Don't get me wrong, I suck at Pokemon and have a lot to learn regarding type weaknesses and strengths but at least now I also have something super cool to look forward to (that is, doing the run you did, just for fun).

Alright, what if you set a level cap for yourself that can only increase if you beat a gym? Starting capped at lv 10 per team member, each gym adds 5 more levels. Use whatever Pokémon you want as long as they’re under the level cap.

This would be very difficult, by misty you could at most have lvl 15 pokemon, at Giovanni it would be 45, and for the elite four it's only 50 (i might just suck though but i normally need at least level 60 for elite four)

If you are looking for new challenges: Use only attacks of type bug? I think, Gen1 would be the most difficult as there are only 4 bug-attacks :) Gen2 should be easier as soon as you have a heracross with megahorn. PS: I think, bug should be the most difficult one? A run with just normal attacks (+struggle) have you already done (magikarp ^^).

As most people think Kabutops is the better choice. not true, in a vacuum, gen 3 Omastar is better than gen 3 Kabutops. (SImply based on move pool. Omastar gets better special attack which takes advantage of his 115 Special attack stat a opposed to Kabutops 115 attack stat with not the best physical attacks. that change sin gen 4, but in gen 3, Omastar is better.
