OMG! Yes! Spinarak! Gold was my first Generation and I had a Spinarak which took me to the Elite Four. Also used a Raikou and Shiny Weepinbell in that run, so Spinarak is a special one for me. It was one of the first Pokemon I faced the Elite Four with without evolving it all the way.

Well let’s go over the positives and negatives. Positives: it has a good amount of HP, like all normal types it learns a good variety of moves and it gets some hard hitting normal moves like body slam and double edge. Negatives: Besides HP and attack (and that’s only 45), all other stats are 25 or lower with its speed and defense being at 20, meaning any fast fighting moves is probably gonna result in a popped balloon. This is probably gonna be a brutal one, good luck. Anyway here’s some challenges: Emerald with Magcargo (basically the abomasnow challenge in a region more centered around kicking its ass) Fire red with only normal type moves (use foresight or odor sleuth for ghosts) Platinum using only Pokemon that can be fished up with a rod. Heart gold/soul silver with only a sunkern (sequel to a previous challenge) Black using only a Tynamo (definitely gonna need items in battle for this one) Black/white 2 challenge mode using only first form bugs (another sequel) And for a couple non Pokemon challenges: Final Fantasy X-2 using only Brother (creature creator) Skyrim using only Illusion Final Fantasy VIII without junctioning to stats

I'd like to see a run of no directly damaging moves. It'd entail using things like confuse ray, swagger, poison powder, etc. Just no moves that deal direct damage of any kind. This would be entertaining due to the many different strategies one could use to progress through the game. I have absolutely no idea how possible that would be to even start, but It'd be strange and interesting!

Hey, MDB! There’s actually a reason why Sabrina’s Alakazam outsped you even when it was paralyzed. In Gen 1, Rest doesn’t relieve the user of the speed drop from paralysis despite healing the status itself. Ditto for burn and the attack drop.

Hey there, just wanted to say that I'll watch pretty much any challenge video you do from now on, my only hangup on these things is usually whether or not I like the way the player comments on it. I usually watch your Pokemon randomizers and stuff, and I intend to watch your normal daily videos too, but I'm just a bit weird about getting into new things. Thanks for showing how Elder Scrolls plays though, I didn't know how it worked and never thought I'd like it until I saw you do it. I'm probably going to hold off on some of those videos though, I don't want to spoil it. Can you beat a pokemon game using only “fixed damage” moves? I’m using a loose definition of “fixed damage” to include moves that deal a predictable amount of damage even if that value changes. The moves allowed would include:- *Sonic Boom* - Deals 20HP damage. *Dragon Rage* - Deals 40HP damage. *Night Shade* - Deals damage equal to user’s level. *Seismic Toss* - Deals damage equal to user’s level. *Super Fang* - Deals damage equal to half the target’s current HP. *Endeavor* - Lowers the target’s HP to equal the user’s current HP. *Final Gambit* - Causes the user to faint and deals damage to the target equal to amount of HP the user lost. *Nature’s Madness* - Deals damage equal to half the target’s current HP. *Fissure* - Causes target to faint. *Guillotine* - Causes target to faint. *Horn Drill* - Causes target to faint. *Sheer Cold* - Causes target to faint.

Unpopular (maybe) opinion: we need more Oblivion challenges! Tactical considerations on the run (they are good for the KZbin algorithm): > I would have gotten Ice Beam/Blizzard earlier instead of Rest, but Thunderbolt worked just as well. That would solve the grinding problem at 11:58. > Jigglypuff learns Substitute via TM50 (again, instead of Rest. Jigg is too weak to take two turns of attacks most of the time). That nullifies half of Agatha's strats. Also, by the time you got there, your Sub is enough to tank 1 full night shade (60*4 = 240 hp, Jigg had more than that). It would cost you money by it's a possibility. You can grind for money on the earlier elite fours. > BBG (Badge Boost Glitch) made Defense Curl a beast. Overall pretty well played! Hope you are feeling better, and looking forward to the next one.

Can you maybe, at the beginning of the video, split the shot of the movelist in 2 parts. The upper and lower part next to eachother. That way the movelist is easier to see. Big fan of your Pokémon content😁

Here's an idea for a Pokemon challenge that would give you some interesting team combinations as well as can be reused for multiple challenges: Can you beat Pokemon __ with only Pokemon with names that start with the letter ___ . The rules are that you use a random number generator to pick a letter at random, and whatever letter you get, you can only use Pokemon whose names start with that letter, and you can only use 1 Pokemon per evolutionary family. If you got N, for example, you couldn't have a team with Nidoran, Nidorino, and Nidoking all at once. If you get a letter like L, for example, and you catch a Chinchou, you have to grind up the Chinchou to evolve into Lanturn before you can use them. Naturally, outside of a forced starter Pokemon, you can only add to your team when you get to those Pokemon, so you can use that to think about which Pokemon game might give you the best or most interesting variety based on the letter you have.
