I am nearly 72 years old and was diagnosed with all symptoms of PCOS when I reached 18. Since then, I've been through the menopause and still have facial hair, excess weight and hair loss, which has caused me stress throughout my life. Living in the UK, no doctor could help me, and just told me that I am too fat.... Eat less !!!

Thank you so much for this video. If i may ask what the relation ship is between lack of ovulation and which hormone is responsible for this for someone not ovulating regularly?

There are several theories behind poor ovarian function that leads to irregular ovulation - in most cases of PCOS there is an intrinsic enzyme dysregulation in the ovary that is worsened by insulin resistance that results in hyperandrogenism and anovulation. But you can have PCOS and still ovulate regularly, so it depends on the person.
