If he left his employment and went to a tribunal he probably wouldn’t have to worry about working ever again because the second he tries to find a job elsewhere they won’t be interested. If you don’t want to work somewhere get another job that suits you better.

​Absolute rubbish. Not all unions are equal but mine helped tripled my redundancy payout when my employer tried to renege on what they owed with a fantasy 'break in employment' that was so technical would have cost me a fortune in legal fees. JOIN A UNION @@wasspj

@@leobloom4526 They tend to be fucking useless. You'd be better off burning banknotes, at least you'd get some temporary warmth. There's a reason that union membership plummeted when the closed shop was outlawed, given a choice people see them for what they are.

Doctors are great at dropping these little nuggets of info into conversation and then it's hours/days later when you think 'hang on, I need that in writing'. It's why I've started taking my wife with me to major consultations plus it saves me from having to relay it all to her or admit I forgot to ask about xyz

I never had a quadruple bypass but In my experience doctors and consultants will happily supply you with a letter with their recommendations and the occupational health follow that or what you tell them you just have to go through the process go to the appointments the company ask you to don't give a company any ammunition to say no . And have a union representative with you at meetings

I have no idea what his actual argument was. I don't think he knew either. I suspect the surgeon made an offhand comment. I'd be surprised if he can get medical evidence.
