I'm from OREGON and your diamond antenna does better for me here than the other antenna thanks to you I get 42 channels my pole is up 30 feet total

You are the reason that I have 40 channels on three TVs I appreciate every single video. I have messaged you before hopefully you recognize me talking about tropospheric ducting. It was your video that inspired me to build the Great hooperman because it was so fast and there was no soldering and when you tested it later it performed equally to the antenna that took so much time. I have devised a completely different method of attaching the element but I am so appreciative of you are experimenting.

Danny twist the whiskers around the main wire twice and use acid core solder like on copper pipe your connections will be twice as strong built me one of your antennas using galvanized 10 gauge wire and with my method of connecting the whiskers that damn thing aint never gonna come apart. Thanks for the info best antenna I have ever used.

I made my own version out of scrap first time a cpl weeks ago. I live in Northern Kentucky and we get the Cincinnati channels. Dayton, OH is about 60 miles north and with your fine antenna I now get all those too, even the low power ones, some of the same networks play different shows so it's nice. 63 total. (Cincinnati is a toilet but Dayton is good.) Thanks again for you sharing all that knowledge, you gave me the spark to make one. I'm a pack rat and already had those 75/300 transformers so it was FREE. Better than any of the store bought antennas I tried hands down, no contest. Keep up the good work!

Electric fence wire might be good for short wave radio. You might get static every time the fence charges with AC. Hehe I had to add that. Seriously steel wire conducts but not as good as copper or aluminum. I made a UHF antenna out of coat hangers it worked back in the mid 70's. It even picked up high VHF. It was steel black coat hanger wire.

I am in the process of making my reflector using bronze wire. Will be soldering or spot welding the wires together. Have you tried using a soldering iron which is electric ?? I have found that electric soldering works a lot better and way cleaner than the gas type. Great mind think alike Danny.

Love your video's! Have you ever tried to get a microwave transformer and hook it up to the antenna to see what voltage you get from your antennas and resonate it all to power 110v for free. It is possible. Be careful with those transformers they are deadly/ same with the capacitors that come out of those microwaves. Peace & Grace.

You can solder that steel with the aluminum solder if it's the same kind as I saw at the flea markrt. The guy shows it will solder any kind of metal.

You should check out the steel wire they use to hang dropped ceilings, it's heavier wire and it might be better suited for your antennas.

TV antennas have a hard time picking up a signal in the mountains because like trees the mountains block the signal. Unless you happen to be at the highest peak of a mountain Cable TV is the only why to be able to watch TV.

Mine are better than yours!!! I Use concertina wire for cutting edge tech in TV antennas. I get very sharp images on my Tv.
