When I was in perimenopause I was cold all through my 40's. I'm 55 now and in menopause 1 1/2 years. I usually get cold flashes/panic attack right before the hot flashes/sweat. When I try to warm up during a cold flash it triggers the hot flash. I'm trying to find a balance. Thank you so much for your vidoes. They are truly, so helpful for me.

Thank you for this. Cold hands and feet, sometimes my back is chilled and I just can't get warm. If I wrap blankets around me it's like wrapping an ice cube, it just preserves the cold. A warm shower or putting my feet in a large bowl or basin of lovely warm water with a few rose petals sprinkled...while sipping a warm cup of herbal tea usually helps. A rest always helps. You speak a lot about how our nervous system is affecting by the changes of menopause, but I don't recall a video on those things that support or to guard our nervous system during these years. Could you share your experience? Peace be with you and wishing you a lovely & happy New Year. ~Dee from Colorado

Hi Dee You could get a Harimaki (Japanese kidney warmer), these are fantastic for keeping your core warm. They are a stretchy tube made from bamboo fibre which you wear next to the skin round your middle; this keeps the heat in your organs. I feel the cold a lot in the winter: I love mine and find it better than anything else for keeping me warm! That's a good point! I mention the nervous system all the time in regards to other symptoms but can't remember if I've just focused on it! I'll double check and if not, it will go on my list! Thanks for the reminder! Thank you Doctor! I do get some hot-flashes, but I also tend to get very cold on the back of my neck. I have to wear a scarf just to keep my neck warm at home. Is this a common thing? I have researched about it and I have not found any information or anyone else that has commented about this happening to them.

Try drinking some warming ginger tea a few times a day and even adding a pinch a cayenne pepper in. These can improve your circulation and heat you up. You may also benefit from taking Sage which is used for hot flushes because it actually balances your body's inner thermostat!

Hi, I'd say try to create a really cosy supportive effect for sleep. Breathing has been my first thing, I also think bedtime routine of putting on new clean clothes after shower can help wind down..And dabbing castor oil on my face has helped me sleep better too(also a good beauty tip)-its cheap too. Basically need to be prepared for sleep time, and try all the tips Eileen has, as they are very efrective.
