Well, I would say it takes time to find people who are aligned with you. If your values are clearly expressed in action and words, than people who align with that will find you. It just takes time to find the right people so give yourself grace

You must reach out to people & make yourself known. Define yourself Create a name for yourself, & a presentable portfolio that delegates your nonprofits mission. I reach out to people to discuss the partnership others use. To better understand the market exchange I need for my organization.

What happens one person resigns from a three person board and nobody else is available yet to step in? Can the nonprofit continue?

I would document efforts to identify the next board member….you don’t necessarily have to stop providing services. However if you don’t have enough board members to have a quorum , that may impact your ability to make resolutions or make official decisions.

Is a Foundation and not for profit the same?

If you’re classified as a private foundation as a 501c3 organization, you’re still considered a nonprofit. So generally, foundations are considered nonprofits.
