Lauren, first, a quick comment on this episode. I read a few of the other comments, and I wanted to say, " please don't get disheartened about negative comments on the video." I doubt any of them have ever shot video, run a business, and hosted a retreat, while keeping up with day to day activities. I know how that can be. If you remember the hospital training shoot I was going to a few weeks ago, I just finished 7 days of editing, including one 36 hour straight session. Outcome, 35 training videos, with CC embedded. Now a comment from me, " Freaking Outstanding ", Pardon my French. There was so many great parts to this one, it would be hard to list them all. Fishing, cooking, diving, training, and entertaining guests, WOW! The best put for me was seeing you truly having fun. I was looking back to the earlier episodes and you are getting so much better at your craft. As for the Caribbean, I have gone snorkeling in Cancun while on vacation, and produced 2 documentaries on Cruising The Caribbean, back in the nineties. Mostly things to do onshore. Columbia, Aruba, Curacao, Grenada, Barbados, Dominican Republic, St. Lucia, Venezuela, The Mexican Destinations, and of course The Bahamas. So now you can see why I love your channel, and am looking forward to 2023. That's all fore now. I hope you don't mind me waxing on, like this. I will get several views out of this video. Looking forward to your next video too. Until then, be happy, be safe, and enjoy the lifestyle God has gifted you with. P.S. Thank you so much for updating me on you and you boat's status. Now they are calling for snow in Toronto on Sunday. Pray for me.

I did not mean my suggestion for more Stable Camera recording to be NEGATIVE but now I see the possibility it would be taken that way…. I absolutely LOVE LAUREN’s YT video channel…. And love the QUALITY and she has no CAMERA MAN… And basic equipment now…. The sky is the limit for her & reminds me of Kelly Young in the beginning

@@stephengreen2898 No problems, my comment to Lauren was meant to encourage her beyond the critic out there. I to see real progress and promise in her video attempts to share her adventures with us all. We all have different styles and skills that we need to develop, and after 35 years in the video industry, I know that for myself too. Positive help is always the best.

Pirates in Venezlua now so we avoided and passage made straight round to Panama. The yachties had to line handle for each other though the canal locks and that was great fun 3 times. Big no wind zone out to Galapagos so good to acquire a massive twin headsail ,and save all the containers you can for the diesil.

I had 22 years on a Fontaine Pajot Antigua catamaran and sailed it France to Phuket. Hurricane Season in the South Caribbean was always July /Septemberish but they always tracked above the latitude of Trinidad so we went down there. Worked great and the worst we ever saw was a squally 35 knts. Then back up the islands Antigua/St Martin for charters and fun and a bit of racing big boats. Nowadays I am seeing big devastation from the storms further north, but I am sure go south will be the best tactic.

I parked it up the Brisbane River for 2.5 years while I did a project for funds . But then the trip round to Darwin ,then though all of Indonesia was awesome. Again too fast ! 8000 miles was it? I had fun in Singapore ,but Thailand was the big draw. For a bloke it really is paradise . Best for boats on the Phuket side by the way. Arthritus and the Pirates in Somalia ( still a problem) is why I finally sold my beloved boat . So Lauren , I recommend you get on with it and GO SOUTH ! Its a big wonderful world out there . Just read the Pilot Books, follow the seasonal tradewinds , and keep sharing your wonderful story with your excellent videos. That way, you never got old ......

Thats one reason why I love the island's. If you know what to look for, theres always a feast just waiting. That sucked but its an easy fix. Folks might not realize that a dingy is the car" when you are at anchor. So it just has to be ready for shuttling and not just for an emergency. And a patch kit is a good item to stow with the dingy. Just in case, heck even dinner might require its use lol. Not that i ever landed a grouper only to have it slap the speargun. The safety cap? Uh, yeah its on the counter in the galley....but I didn't lose it! And im not sponsored, but a roll of Flex seal is invaluable. It is the best quick patch for everything!

BVIs are awesome and a place your customers will enjoy. The Baths at Virgin Gorda, the Indians, wreck of the Rhône and Soggy Dollar Bar are must sees. Additionally you may get lucky and find a boat coming out of Moorings charter group for delivery to States. I’m certainly in market for Oceanis 40.1 and Tortola prices are great but getting it back to states is the challenge.

you can get bottle car tyre sealant liquid from napa and pour some in and roll the dingy around so the liquid runs to the hole area ..it will seal from inside as long as hole is not to big ..u might need to do it couple times so the drying sealant layers build up ..dont pump it up totally hard solid untill u done it couple times : ) can patch outside first then seal on inside with napa liquid

Just FYI, we are trying to adjust schedules so we can charter your boat in Jan or Feb. Too much craziness to nail down a date but we at least are trying. Maybe have to be later towards April. Would love to help you sail to the Caribbean. We spent time in St. Lucia and OMG what a great place. I hear folks weather out the hurricane season in Grenada and it's a whole community of sailors that all know each other and make the trek down there. check out sailingbritican for a cool video on Best Places to Spend Hurricane season... Maybe reach out to Sailing with Thomas regarding info on the Caribbean. His KZbin channel has him sailing all over the place and he recently spent a lot of time in the Caribbean…..again. Also, he’s a very competent solo sailor who knows the ins and outs, do’s and don’t of the Caribbean towns and cities. He knows a lot of people there who you could meet as well. Best of luck to you!

I got rushed through the French Polynesian islands ,that are utterly fantastic and worth exploring. Beware the clingons who talk their way onboard ,then want to run the show, Ha Ha. I loved Tonga and got involved with the whale watching there . 3 years inc trips down to New Zealand all excellent sailing . The dramatic vids of storms there are just sensationalism. And idiots sailing high performance boats without the high performance skills

Mako is adorable. Our outside cat has provided us with two perfect pure black copies of herself. I THINK IT IS TIME TO CATCH HER AND GET HER FIXED ? Saying no to a cat is just a waste of time they will do what they want anyway. Three years ago our neighbors cat came to live with us for no obvious reason and three days ago she walked and the door and has not come back ? CATS ?
