You reminded me so much of the children I used to work with who were special needs also. I miss "my kids" so very much, and was sad to have to leave my job due to my own disabilities. I know everybody who uses the word "special" in this context means well but we are all special. I'm 64 so much older than political correctness and the euphemistic words that engenders. I happen to have cerebral palsy and I, along with everybody else, I'm handicapped by stuff that gets in my way but I'm never stopped. Neither is Kodi. Kodi, you are amazing and so is your family. They and he are amazing in great part because of his challenges, rather than despite them. He is physically and neurologically challenged and he is special as are we all. We are each unique. Let's all of us embrace our challenges together for we are much more alike than different, no matter what that might specifically look like.

@Kodi Lee, wow is all I can say. I've been following you since your first AGT audition & you never fail to blow me away. Our 4 year old grandson had started saying a couple of words but things changed & he became non verbal & doesn't make eye contact much. Regardless, I always felt he still knew what we were saying to him even when he wouldn't respond in any way, I knew he still understood us. I used to rock him to sleep & tell him just how special & perfect he is, how he's unique & beautiful, how smart he is, that there's nothing he won't be able to do & that he has super powers. If you ever saw him climb things, you'd bet he was spiderman! Lol! I said all that to say this, thank you Kodi. Thank you for getting up on that stage, sharing your heart & opening eyes. Thank you for breaking the stigma & showing the world just how amazing everyone is, regardless of what our simple minds think they're capable of. As someone who is also neurodivergent (neuro-magical, I saw this comment and loved it), how you execute your deep sense of surroundings and the impact it has on you is true art.
