Rythem and chord changes have been the most difficult thing for me to grasp, 61 yrs old and having you sing or say the strumming pattern as well as when you sing or say the chords as your teaching is very helpful and i need to implement this into ny own lessons, as well as foot tapping . Another one of my favorite bands. The band is from Spartanburg, SC. When I was in college at the University of South Carolina, they were called The Toy Box (because of Toy, a founding member of the band) and they would play at my school frequently. Great lesson, Lauren!

Hi from bonnie Scotland. Love your lessons 65 and been trying to play the guitar for approximately 2 years on and off. I can make the chords individually but failing to get to the stage where i can change between chords and actually keep up with a song . I know practice practice practice Well for the past 4 months have been playing for al least an hour a day going between my chords and simple riffs i know to keep me going but not really getting any faster is it a brain thing or my hands or as I'm guessing bad habits where i started moving 1 finger at a time and now they won't move as one. any one out there with advise I'm all ears. Keep up the very good work Lauren your videos are an absolute dream to follow . My goal now is to play along with you and keep up.

So far you have been easy to follow because you don't know what you are dealing with this viewer...lol Dyscalculia is real fun, I get the chords wrong and I can't count...but it is fun.

The kid in NASHVILLE whose dad come from a very wealthy family spend thousands of dollars for guitar lessons and bought the best in guitars Gibson, les Paul fender and two of the electric guitars cost over $8,000 and a les Paul was 3,500.they been laying under the kids bed collecting dust and another one in the closet with two strings gone, what that shows is no matter how good the teacher is and how expensive is you must have a little talent and desire to want to learn, The kids dad is good friends with STEVE WINWOOD and the late ALLEN COLLINS .LAUREN sounds like a real nice lady and teacher.

You should advise your students to listen to the original song,, it’s the blues... it’s deep awesome song. Heartfelt.... as you point out it’s simple beginning to end the same but the word s / feeling are strong... we can all sing along.... thank you for the edumacation... Good post saw it and watched. Try using this instead of the C chord you show. While making the D chord just move middle finger to C or 5th string 3rd fret. It's easy also bluer as song is supposed to be. It's a C used in jazz also.

There is no F chord in this song but you can use Fmaj7 as an easier alternative.
