Ahhh but it's not like you can't add those cameras to the Avata. However, you'll never get the transmission, FPV view of the Avata on a DYI build. At least not until DJI releases the new air units... You also won't get the safety features, RTH, ADS B, Remote ID, etc. Not to mention the ability to change your camera angle/settings mid flight. Both options have their positives and negatives but from a features standpoint, the Avata wins hands down.

My very first impression was that the GoPro footage looked better, but after a while I changed my mind. You are the color grade master. I would have to see the final edit. I can say this though. Not having to attach a GoPro is a huge advantage for DJI. Take $500 off the top just for that if you are new to the hobby. You don’t have to buy a GoPro or anything else. That’s money, space, SD Cards, batteries, charging cords, and the bones is expensive, but pretty useless for anything but mounting on a drone. DJI is worth it if you can just find a radio. Motion controller is alright, but if you are serious you need to be able to fly the drone in full manual with the sticks in many situations.

I'm in the same boat. Exactly what I'm thinking. I need the FPV for motorsport because of the speed, but the avata would be extremely helpful when filming indoors. I could use it instead of my heavy gimbal...well...most of the time as the Blackmagic footage is way better than a GoPro or DJI....

I don't do real-estate, I'm a hobby very experienced pilot and the all round size and quality of the drone is great. Yeah she's over 450g but most normal cinewhoops ain't much under the same weight if a full sized GP is used. Besides....Getting parts and self building in the UK at present is an expensive job with delivery / stock and chip shortages affecting everything at the moment. I have the goggles like most and have the controller, as I'm a DJI FPV pilot - No brainer for me and will get loads of use. All the toxicity on FB in theFPV ? Cinewhoop groups against anything DJI lately is no surprise but half of them don't have a clue what they are ranting about. Yeah it's inititally aimed at beginners....Just like the DJI FPV was, and look how that turned out. Might just be their most crashed drone. This has been crashed and crashed and crashed and all it did was eject the battery. They've listened, learned and then released this. Just look at FB and the FPV groups. Every other post is from a Cinewhoop style quadcopter. They are super popular and even more so this year in 2022. Love them or hate them, they ain't going away and already transformed the hobby with the HD FPV System. People seem to forget that. I'm for evolving with the hobby and with DJI.

There are alot of gate keepers in this hobby. When I started out I was confused and had a friend lend a hand in helping me... Not everyone has that luxury and this allows people just to have fun. Its different than the FPV drone and thats why I really like it.

Hi Ken it looked to me DJI was a better flyer. You was taking more risks with it and it looked fantastic in tight spaces. Great vid keep up the great work you do. Thanks

@@OriginaldoBo Yeah, I was going to comment on the same thing, so glad I read through comments. Your confidence flying the DJI was obviously significantly more. I've seen and read so much about how smooth and predictable the DJI flies, especially on altitude (throttle). For me anyways, that confidence and ability to thread through branches and other obstacles like that comes from confidence in altitude control. In general, direction is easy, precise elevation control not so easy. I think this is where DJI shines from what I've seen.
