The jnc did its job. You have other issues like the cold weather for example.. I have the 660 and it has a pair 👍👍

I bought the jnc660 months ago just to carry in my truck and use around the yard. Haven't used it myself but my neighbor has a 4wd F250 v8 with a bad tranny. He was trying to get to start it up to sell it but it would barely click. I asked him to try this out and it started after a few attempts. Cranked longer than I expected and didn't give up. I trust it now. Hope I never need it but it will always be in my truck now.

I found that if you turn it to the run position and back off (without turning over) it will start easier in cold weather, I think It’s building a better prime in the fuel system. I just wait until I hear the fuel pump kick on then back off and do that a few times before I turn it over.

I just bought one of these off the Snap-On truck (payed waaay too much, but that's not the point) and it fired my arthritic old 350 right up after it had been sitting dead for about a week. Prior to buying this jumper (the 660) I went through 3 other jumpers and all of them were unable to do more than make the starter click a few times and just barely get the motor to turn over. I haven't even charged this thing fully yet - just using it right off the truck with the juice it had in it. The other chargers had been fully charged. Anyhow, I finally have some confidence that this thing, along with a quick disconnect for the negative battery cable should keep me out of trouble as far as getting the starter to crank and getting juice to the plugs.

I've used mine on a bunch of stuff, including an M11 Cummins. It's turned them all over so far.

I drive a 379 flattop peterbilt with 4 batteries in it and I forgot to turn my clearance lights off for 2 days and I had the jnc in my pickup so I figured I'll try it for shits and giggles and low and behold it fired my pete up, went and bought a second 1 that I keep in my pete now

It's best to keep in a warm place. Maybe keep it by the door so you can remember to grab it on your route to work in the mornings.

Built-in charger. Just plug the extension cord in to the protruding male prongs

Get the JNC318 by Jump & Carry it will heat the battery up for jumping in colder weather and will jump a V8 Engine
@blazenblues80315 жыл бұрын
Pouring warm water on a battery in winter weather before apying any form of jump start is the best way. Also after doing so cycle the battery before jumping by switching on and off the headlights for 30 seconds. ASE Master Mechanic

You have it connected wrong. The black cable should be grounded not hooked up to the battery
@GuyinWY5 жыл бұрын
The negative terminal of the battery is connected to the frame of the vehicle so electrically, there is no difference in where the jump pack negative clamp is placed. Some people recommend connecting the ground clamp away from the battery to prevent a potential spark from igniting any gasses that might be present in the vicinity, but this battery was not off gassing so there was no risk.
@tenzinlama27305 жыл бұрын
@@GuyinWY another safety reason for negative terminal to be attach to the body is. during winter time if the battery is completely dead, the liquid inside the battery gets frozen. and in that case if u connect the portable battery directly to the car battery terminal, there will be potential for the battery explosion.

If the battery is dead why is it turning over and every time you get the kids still turned over not making any sense to me sounds like the meat something's wrong with the motor not the battery and the reason why I don't started so cold needs a good tune-up but anyway have a nice day God bless🙏

The ground goes on the chassis bro....what's the matter with everyone
@GuyinWY4 жыл бұрын
The chassis is connected to the battery via the negative cable. Hooking straight to the battery eliminates any problems that may be in the ground cable. If you have a draw on your electrical system then that “live load” may cause a spark when the circuit is completed by connecting the last clamp from the jump pack, and if your battery has released an excessive amount of hydrogen that spark at the terminal could ignite said gas but the likelihood of that is nearly impossible to determine on an “across the board” basis. Take the risks you’re comfortable with, avoid the ones you aren’t.

Have you heard the good news of Jesus Christ? The good news is Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. (1 Corinthians 15 1-4) For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
