I think bulletproof coffee can act as a sort of preworkout drink. Im on keto and when i do bulletproof coffee i feel the heat and energy boost more so than the same coffee without butter as i only do my bulletproof coffee with butter and not coco oil. It does suppress my appetite on days when i get hungry and listless after my hard workout days as i also do 5 days straight intermittent fasting, 1 day carb loading and 1 day regular no fast day.

I think bulletproof coffee is interesting for people like you trying to be in ketosis and for people doing intermittent fasting like me. It helps a lot in staying in a fasted state and not feeling hungry. But I don't buy Dave Asprey's products and I do it with coconut oil, instead of mct (because of lauric acid).
@AzureSymbiote7 жыл бұрын
I'm going to start adding coconut oil as well.
@sunnyd23317 жыл бұрын
Since you're getting calories from the butter and coconut oil are you still in a faster state?
@yannikarina80967 жыл бұрын
Sunny D I think the main concern of ketosis/IF is not spiking insulin too often, while it is said that fat (nearly) don't raise insulin level.
@Jauhara7 жыл бұрын
It has been quite helpful for me as well. I only use 1 tbsp each of coconut oil and butter. So about 200+ calories. I use intermittent fasting 18 hours a day - from 8 pm to 2 pm. It fills the hunger until supper.

BPC will surely help you shed pounds because the purpose is to help you eat less. That means you will be able to significantly lower your carb and sugar intake. Also BPC, if you drink it before a workout, you will have energy without SPIKING INSULIN which will enable you to burn your own pre existing body fat instead of carb derived fats that you have to burn first before you get to your own fat.

Thank you for this video and for all of your others. You've touched on 99% of the relevant factors, in my opinion. But I would have liked to have seen you tie in the idea of intermittent fasting and how a morning cup of this type of coffee assists in getting you through a 16 hour fast, even though one would make the argument that you shouldn't even have the coffee during the fast. The key, as you stated, is making sure you get the proper nutrients in addition to your coffee. Anyway, good video. Thank you again.
@PictureFit7 жыл бұрын
It won't be considered a fast because the added fat will break the fast. Black coffee should be fine during a fast.

I concur. I gave bulletproof a shot for breakfast and did the insanity workouts for two months. This is the least amount of weight that I've ever lost off of doing an insanity cycle. Best results in the past have been common sense diets of whole grains, lean proteins, veggies, and calorie intake. Bulletproof is maybe ok to do every once in a while I think but not regularly for weight loss.

I've been drinking bulletproof coffee for breakfast everyday for the past 3 weeks. AND INCREASE my calorie consumption overall. I used to eat 1000-1200 calories. Now I eat 2000 calories, sometimes even more. Guess what. I lost 7 pounds by adapting to a keto diet and doing intermittent fasting. I even cut down exercising to see what'd happen. Result : my insulin is so much lower and I don't get sugar craving. I don't have brain fog or feel like I need to snack. More calories in = more calories energy expenditure Less calories in = your body burns less calories so you don't die. Sugar in = body store fat. Quit sugar/all carbs = body uses fat/ketones. MCT oil = kick into ketosis faster and I'm never hungry now that i'm burning fats for fuel its quite amazing.

+PictureFit It is also called Keto coffee and it has become an integral part of the keto diet during fat adaptation phase. Of course on a glycogenic diet, it only helps with satiety and makes you fast for longer intervals. However, on a Ketogenic diet, it helps you step up your fat game. Once you're adapted and you need to cut down on fat, you can get rid of the mug. Peace. I would love it if you explain the phases of fat adaptation and the keto diet. And how to move past a stalling progress. I make keto vlogs and would make a similar video soon. Would love to see you make one too. Cheers.

Hello, I have a question. I'll try to explain my question the best why I can. A while back I used to take protein shakes two times a day, in the morning, and before sleep. It worked great for many years. But for the last year now, I've started to develop an issue, every time I take a protein shake, my excretion becomes liquid, almost diarrhoea. Like. Now I do drink milk everyday with no issues, but if I drink a lot, same thing happens as if I had a protein shake. I do experience no pain. Only that my stomach is full. My question is, despite everything wrong going with my digestive system, is my body still absorbing the whey protein and putting it to good use? Or I'm I just wasting whey protein and making my stomach suffer? Thanks in advance :)
@PictureFit7 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't be able to tell you if you're absorbing the protein. If you have a digestive issue, you would have to consult a local health care professional to help you with that. I do have a feeling you might have a lactose issue, though.
