Epigenetic is sooooo crazy insightful! Such an interesting study. I completely agree with it. However, I think that spiritual healing ( confession, repentance, forgiveness) can have a way of overriding it I think. I read a scripture recently thst pointed this out to me so clearly!!

Yes! Me too. I love it and I do also agree the spiritual side of this can override this often called "generational curse." God can do ANYTHING!

I’m so tired of being triggered by everything, even hearing anything about the people who have hurt me, physically, emotionally and verbally takes a huge tole on me. I just don’t want to deal with people anymore, cause when I do I get attacked and made to feel like its all my fault. I’m happy by myself, at least I’m not looking over my shoulder for the knife I always felt was eventually coming. I know it’s not healthy, but at least I’m not being used, having my boundaries constantly walked all over, and that I’m not wasting another minute of my time with people who feel entitled and fake.

Totally feel this! Sick of it too. And also no idea what to do about it other than isolate.

So if my father was in WWII and he experienced traumatic events, that could be passed on to me if I’m predisposed to it?
@TherapistTamaraHill Жыл бұрын
Yes, absolutely! Great question. Because he most likely had responses to stressors in his life that altered with how he communicated with others, passed down behaviors and beliefs, and even by exposing family to his "war stories" or memories. I am coming back to this topic next live chat next Wed. Stay tuned!

Feel free to cross-promote your March 4 appearance at the suicide prevention and trauma recovery summit on Chicago's Far Southwest Side during your Livestream and taped appearances on your channel. We've inundated social media with promotions for all three. Flyer and palm card promotions kick off in the club tomorrow night. Then, buttons and t-shirt promotions kick in with that on Feb. 28 during the world's longest operating hip-hop open mic.

Would your book be appropriate for a highly curious , advanced 10 year old?
@TherapistTamaraHill Жыл бұрын
I think so, yes! If he likes learning about culture, race, ethnicity, and could benefit from learning "psychological" ways to overcome racism, discrimination, etc. this book was written exactly for him. Epigenetics is such an interesting area to try and understand. I read an interesting article about epigenetics influencing the descendants of Holocaust survivors.
