The concrete ones will be softer as you've got bread that has been stewing in the moisture from the concrete mix so is probably mouldy. I'd be interested to see how the penetrating resin holds up if the moisture soaks in every use...

This reminds me of "the cookie incident" in the EGL fashion community. Someone was selling really cute, hyper realistic cookie brooches and hair bows. Till one day, someone posted to a forum with pictures that hers, WAS FULL OF BUGS. Other people started checking theirs, some where molding, one person was inspecting theirs and it cracked open. It was a real cookie dipped in resin, crumbs spilling out onto the table. There was outrage, horror, and panic while people searched their sweet accessories looking for real food.

Hey, an idea I had on the toast coasters:Evan wanted to soak his toast in resin... Maybe if you put it into a "resin bath" and put it in the Vakuum chamber to let the air come out of the toast, then when you release the Vakuum the resin is gonna soak into the pores and crevices.
