Going to be honest, seeing Bakemon reminds me of my childhood when I was playing Digimon World 1. I had Bakemon, my relatives were visiting, and that Bakemon took a shit. I was asked how a Ghost could poop.

This was totally fun. Another thing about Bakemon: His finisher has this sound of cracking bones, but also if you look really close, a small blue/black clawed hand shoots out and pierces the opponent.

I once had a Bakemon with Megalo Spark and Thunder Justice in this game. It was a powerhouse.

That’s cuz of its typing. All types do bonus damage or less damage on other types but due to a bug, thunder/air doesn’t bonus damage on all types, including itself. That’s why air moves always did more damage than you would think Like despite dg dimension being the strongest base power, thunder Justice will always do more if both digimon have exact same offense and defense stats

This is why Skullgreymon is one of the strongest Digimon in DW1, fast and stunning attacks on its movepool. A lot of water Digimon can have Ice Statue but it got Megaton Punch and Dynamite Kick as well, ruthless indeed.

@@syarifzaki1878 Megadramon - Same case, Megaton Punch / Dynamite Kick / Ice Statue, also capable of learning Pulse Laser that is quite fast and very hard to miss. Metalgreymon - Megaton Punch / Pulse Laser. Also Inifinity Burn, kinda Fire version of Ice Statue. Monzaemon - Megaton Punch / Dynamite Kick (again) and Thunder Justice, fast and powerful Air tech but a bit easy to miss if opponent are moving. H-Kabuterimon - Megaton Punch(again) / Bug / Prominence Beam. Both latter inflict Flat, Bug is super hard to miss and Prominence Beam is pretty quick. Funny that a lot of these come down to fast Stun techs.

Megaton Punch is great melee, Ice Statue has some range, Pulse Laser can be good if need to keep distance, Giga Freeze can be good AoE option, and has some fair share of screen nuke options like DG Dimension although it's slow and eat a lot of MP. Also nice Finisher, it's homing and hard to miss (Most finisher are hard to miss anyway but there are some stinkers like Giromon who set trap so it's harder to use). Raising conditions are not too hard either, no required Happiness and discipline, just have the stats and not too much care mistakes.

Both Bakemon and Giromon can learn Thunder Justice from one of the Bakemons of the Grey Lords Mansion. Theres a room with 3 digi-ghost/Bakemon look-alike. One of them uses Thunder Justice.

Ah yes, I did have that in mind when I got Giromon. But as Giromon was a Vaccine type, I didn't think it would be able to get into the mansion 😅.

Yeah, but it's easily fixed via mods. The fix is to simply give all the songs shorter names, as the freeze kept happening because of some of the awfully long names given to some of the songs.

A couple examples of this are that the problematic songs freeze your game the moment you try to move your selector over to them, and even if you made it past the first song that freezes your game, there were several others with names long enough to do it as well. One example I remember from reading through the patch notes of a mod that fixes this, is that one of the problematic songs had a name like "Ancient Dino Region Glacial Zone Song", or something to that effect, which was waaay too long to display correctly, and would freeze the game the moment your selector went to it. Nothing else had to be edited in terms of the jukebox, except for the text names of each song to shorten them.

Machinedramon itself, lore-wise, is a mechanical Digimon that was created by combining various parts of different other mechanical Digimon in order to create the most powerful Digimon in the world (at least it was at the time). I was quite surprised that SkullGreymon could digivolve into Machinedramon in World 2 rather than, say, Megadramon, MetalGreymon, or MetalTyrannomon, for example

@@matthewkuscienko4616 Lore-wise SkullGreymon is also an experiment to create the most powerful Digimon using Multiple Bones from Dead digimon he even got part from Greymon, Birdramon, Ogremon and fueled with Darkness by Devimon (hence that every digimon evolve to it is already used in it making + Devimon darkness). The Lore is to long to write it here but basically Vamdemon was doing an experiment for Analogman to create a soulless slave and got dark/evil powers from Devimon. If you watched Digimon Adventure 02 it's leterlly Kimeramon story, an Egotistical Genius wanted to create a Frankenstein's Monster using multiple dead body parts and give the monster an unholy powers (Directly from Devil) and it end bad for him. Extra note: Devimon from Adventure 1 is the same one from DW1, he was able to enhance the Gears creating Darknees gears by learning it from Analogman whom he help creating Machinedramon.

Very fun video for spooky season. I hope you continue to do challenge/thematic runs of this game. Not sure how good of an idea this would be, but have you considered single specialty challenges? Your digimon is only allowed to use techniques of single specialty. With the exception being your starting tech(s) until you learn an appropriate tech. I think it would be a fun way to show viable each specialty is and you sort of already did it for filth for the Numemon video.

Seeing those Agumon goons with Ogremon made me think of a idea Kind of a Shattered Glass version of Digimon (SG being a morality flipped Transformers continuity, so evil Autobots vs heroic Decepticons) where all 8 of the OG partner Digimon appear but behave opposite to their crests.
