The rule of large population: If the same action is done enough times, every possible outcomes, regardless of how improbable, is bound to happen. Jrose has been playing Pokémon for I assume 20 years now, is bound to encounter all kinds of crazy good luck or crazy bad luck. It wouldn't be a surprise if during a future challenge, Jrose lost to Bruno due to getting 5 gen 1 misses in a row
@Sam-oz8pn4 жыл бұрын
Except no, because the odds of getting the 1/256 miss chance five times in a row are one in 11.26 trillion. If he did one Bruno battle every minute, 24/7, for 20 years straight, he’d have 10.5 million chances to lose to Bruno. The odds of him getting 5 gen 1 misses in a row and losing? Less than one in a million. Big numbers don’t automatically make everything likely.

it's important to show Bruno because I need to hear you roast him. This was a great video, one of my favorites of the whole series. Keep them coming

"I've levelled up in such a way that i will not level up in the middle of this battle" = i've just levelled up in the last scientist i battled. Sounds like a complicated way to me hahaha
@xPanda254 жыл бұрын
Not exactly, because imagine this: Level 29 at 90/100 exp needed to level up. You battle trainer A and gain 60 exp making it so you're now at level 30 with 50/100 exp. You start battling Trainer B and after beating 2 of their 5 Pokémon you gain 60 exp and are now at level 31 in the middle of the battle. If instead he was at 10/100 exp at level 30, it would be longer into the fight with trainer B before he leveled up. (I know my example doesn't quite fit the logic, but you can at least see where I'm coming from) TL;DR: Leveling up before a battle doesn't guarantee you won't level up in the middle of said battle, but using his exact words DOES mean he won't level up in the middle of the battle

@@xPanda25 I know but if you level up with a much higher level pokemon than the opponent obviusly you level up and don't get too much xp in the next level and thats what happens here, he has a level 41 dratini if i remember well he was fighting pokemons with less than level 30 and with a pokemon that levels up super slow

Jrose I love these videos. The in depth analysis is exactly what I'm looking for when I watch someone play a game. I want the darn technical details!! Most games are a puzzle and the most interesting part is the thought process. Keep up the great work!!

*hippity hoppoty your luck has went stoppoty* But really good luck beating the game with a dratini. Also it's legit 5 in the morning.

Relatively new subscriber (less than 2 weeks), I've seen nearly every second of your videos. Best PokeTuber ever. One of the very few that isn't subtly condescending or needlessly angry. My only problem with you is that there's not more hours in the day for you to make even more videos 😭
@luckpup27664 жыл бұрын
I"m always excited when you upload, the videos truly make the day a bit better. I wish that Dragonite kept the beautiful serpent look of Dratini, and Dragonair. I like the uncut footage, by the way.

He will be using psyduck. He is covering all first evo pokemon in gen i in this series. Don't know if he'll see this comment to nickname it that though.

This really was a wild ride huh. Showing those failed battles can really encapsulate how frustrating things can be. Always a blast to watch these videos but seems like you're getting better not only in terms of strategizing but also in editing and commentating, this is the best one by far.
