I have always said to never underestimate the early-game Bug-types. They can pull through when it matters most. And I feel like it's even better in a real in-game scenario because you're evolving it from Metapod, which has Harden if you caught it as a Metapod (or has it regardless in Yellow), and thus has a consistent means of badge boost glitching. @@AhsimNreiziev I may not be an Entomologist, but as a kindergarten graduate, I can tell you for a fact that insects have six legs. Also, 'real' insects exist in the Pokemon world. For example, there is a mosquito in the Old Amber item, and 'real' butterflies can be seen flying around in Sword and Shield and X/Y. Multiple Pokemon are stated to prey on bugs, such as Horsea. I really don't think they mean Horsea is eating Caterpie and Weedle in the ocean. In the anime, you can see Pidgey eat a worm in the first episode, so 'real' animals exist, meaning Pokemon are not insects, they are Pokemon. 'Real' insects exist along side of Pokemon. Butterfree is not an insect. It is a bug-type Pokemon. Also, I was just making a stupid joke lol.

@@AhsimNreiziev it's ok. Just let them have their fun. If they get enjoyment being all technical on a KZbin comment about a Butterfree let them. I still approve this run.

I love when you get a victory off a joke attempt (ie Zubat using horn drill to win) you’re so happy and I’m so happy for you when it happens

These are probably the best solo runs on KZbin. I really like how it’s not just clickbaity random challenge. It’s actually really fun comparing each Pokémon wondering where it will come in on the tier list Being shocked where a Pokémon comes. Like gastly for example and how just because a Pokémon is unable to learn one move it can be the difference between A and C or even D tier.

Butterfree is one of the biggest cases of Pokemon defying expectations. It’s actually quite strong in later gens with Quiver dance/sleep powder. Love you Butterfree, never change.

Butterfree, Level 69 Sharp Beak Compoundeyes - Quiver Dance - Sleep Powder - Bug Buzz - Air Slash == ALOLAN POKEMON HALL OF FAME ==
@natnew32 Жыл бұрын
This thing was my goto for half the totems because Compoundeyes = 97.5% Accurate Sleep Powder into basically anything I wanted. Swept Hala's team with Quiver Dance Air Slash. Wasn't too helpful vs the champion sadly *cough*stealthrock*cough* but it was still great. tbh I didn't think it would last all game but it worked just fine. Also I didn't understand why people thought Guzma was so hard but then realized not everyone has a x4 bug resist with a setup move and Air Slash :)

I knew Butterfree was going to do well. They were one of the only mons I used when I played Blue back in the day.

Butterfree could be taught Teleport in Gen 1?! Dude that’s awesome

Here's a funny one: Shellder can learn Teleport. How does a clam teleport itself, let alone two people?

Before I would spend more time on the game getting Butterfree as a kid was one of the first main objectives and I'd keep one the whole way. Poison, sleep, hp recovery and mad damage on tap.

16:21 Hydro Pump is probably a level 1 move for Gyarados. Maybe you should do a Gyarados run and see!
@velvetbutterfly2 жыл бұрын
In Yellow it starts with Tackle only. In Red/Blue it starts with Bite, DragonRage, Leer, HydroPump, which is its full moveset prior to Hyperbeam at 52. This also means you could delete a move and relearn it later

That champion battle... From the mimic strat to the ending time was so dumb that it was Brilliant and I loved it. I had a good day and this was just the cherry on top, a great way to start winding the day down. With that said though, I would like to see the moth version of our butterfly friend does in this one. (Venomoth) It has better stats and a better move pool could be good as well.

This was an entertaining run, i'm happy to see butterree getting some love. It has been my favorite pokemon since pokemon blue and i always use it in every game it exists in, alongside beedrill. Ya i was that awkward bug trainer kid while everyone else was obsessed with mewtwo and alakazam.
