The City Centre Lego store does have just about every model, some of which have only just been released in the UK in the past couple of months. Of those where you quoted the price, they are somewhat more expensive than in the UK. The Titanic, which I very much enjoyed building, is the model with the greatest number of pieces. There is one set that has more pieces which is a world map. This, however, consists mainly of 1 stud by 1 stud pieces which most of us do not consider counts as the largest model. For those foreigners who notices twofolds prices. It is a question to Danes why they hold Russian kids personally responsible for latest ‘developments’. They’re called Lego sets, and yes they are up to date sets. Quite a bit more expensive than the states. The Ferrari is 450 here, and 750 in your video.
@CoyotePark2 күн бұрын
Is the video slowed down? I had to put to 1.5 speed and then the voice and everything felt more normal. And when switching back to 1.0 speed, speaking felt suuper slow..

I recently moved to Russia, and was a fairly avid Lego collector back in Canada when I lived there. While I have found the selection in Russia to be quite good, the prices here are about twice the Canadian price for the same sets. That Titanic set for example is only $750 in Canada, but was listed at $1300 USD in the Russian stores. Clearly there is a middle man taking a big cut in the importing of the sets here.
@TravellingwithRussell2 күн бұрын
The supply chain is a big factor in the pricing now. How it gets to Russia, and through which route it takes.
@alex-hk5wq2 күн бұрын
Russell obviously went into a very expensive store where the margin is very high. In the OZON online store, the exact same Titanic set from Lego costs about $600-700.
@WoozyPolarBear2 күн бұрын
@@alex-hk5wq That's encouraging, however I was also quoting the most expensive option in Canada, at the official Lego store. I also assume there would be cheaper options within Canada too, such as Amazon.
@alex-hk5wq2 күн бұрын
@@WoozyPolarBear Well, you also need to understand that Russell went to a shopping center in the very center of Moscow, where prices are insanely high, I think for an ordinary resident of Moscow this is an exorbitant price, I am sure that Lego was very expensive in this store even before the sanctions. There are Detsky Mir stores where prices for Lego are already lower, but there is less choice, but, as I said, an excellent choice and a low price on trading platforms on the Internet. So you can buy Lego in Russia at different prices :)
@ufo_ninja20 сағат бұрын
@@alex-hk5wqI can go to the most expensive shopping centre in Sydney (one of the most expensive cities in the world) and the Lego technic Ferrari is $580 at Myer Lego section. The one shown here in Russia is over $1000.

@@TravellingwithRussell Actually, the correct word is "most" (bridge). The street "Kuznetsky Most" is so called because once there was a real bridge over the Neglinka river. But at the beginning of the 19th century the river was enclosed in an underground collector. The street level rose above the bridge and it was filled with soil, the space around it was built up with houses....

That lego technic Ferrari SP3 currently in Myer in Australia $580, this one in Russia over $1000aud!! Australians earn way more than Russians.

I am sure the average salary of the person wanting the Ferrari is higher in Australia as well. I know my parents would never pay that kind of price for a model. I was lucky to get the $10 or $20 ones.

@K2teknik.3 күн бұрын
Well I would say it proves that the sanctions are there, they just do not work as intended. The almost fully removal of the LEGO brand is most likely done in cooperation with LEGO's Russian partners/importer/distributor. LEGO still want to sell in Russia, so they try to make it look like you can't get LEGO in Russia by removing the branding, and the importing is done third party's countries.
