It's important that we recognise the affects of alcohol on the human body and the harm and destructions it can cause to those who struggle with responsible drinking and the people around them.
It's unfortunately a massive social and celebratory convention in the UK and people struggle to know what to do instead. There's a lot of alcohol free beers out there now but frankly, I think they are all a bit of a waste of money. All the expense of a beer, a "not quite right" taste and none of the "good" effect.
That was until I came across Impossibrew. I bought a case and took a couple to a party at the weekend. I have to say that I felt relaxed and chatty and two cans lasted me the whole evening. I didn't feel the need to have anything else and as I headed home in the snow at 21:30 (rockstar lifestyle) I was clear headed and chilled. I slept well and had no ill effects in the morning and my memories of the evening were as clear as... well as if I'd not been drinking. I got up at 05:30 and headed out for a run at 7am like it was nothing.
I realise I could have the same result if I'd just not drank anything but this certainly did help "scratch and itch" as some would say.
Now, I should point out that I have no affiliation with them and I wasn't paid for making this video. In fact, it was just a way to kill a few hours this morning at the same time as getting a video to post online). Also, as a GP, I most certainly do not recommend drinking any amount of alcohol as there really isn't a safe limit. However, if you feel you want to cut down then perhaps this is the way to do it.
Enjoy (responsibly). @impossibrew
