Ah, this was an excellent follow up. I basically started a new game just to try and skip Ordo Eris. I was having trouble using the crates to get past him, but the up, down, and up again trick with the zipline worked perfectly. Playing on PS4...so unfortunately it might be impossible to skip Ilum, since it looks like the flying glitch was patched out. There is a variation where you hold block, double jump, force push, and you get both of your jumps back. So that might work. We'll see. Thanks for showing us how to get past the bounty hunters!

@@CinematicSeriesGaming I did try those...but with the patches on PS4 it doesn't seem to be possible. Or if it was possible to skip Ilum, it required a lot of timing with the double jump flight trick. Might be worth checking out the PC version at some point. My PC should be able to handle it.

You know, Ordo Eris is not only forgotten part of the game? There's section in Tomb of Miktrull, which is textureless. It's on the map tho, and physic models are working, so it's still possible to get chest hidden in there and finish Zeffo 100%. Also, some Echoes are NOT counter for planet discovery. I found myself having Bogano 100% complete yet missing 3 echoes. 2 echoes on Kashyyyk with 100% completition and 2 more on Dathomir. On Zeffo there are some bugged aswell. This great game is imo 8/10 just cause it's not properly tested & finished even after 2-3 years since release.

It is too bad ordo eris wasn't a planet you could visit, it would've been an interesting dlc planet or even a good part of the story, which was way too short and needed more to it. Hopefully the sequel isn't a big flop and it is not mediocre (not to say the first game isn't a flop, it is decent enough, just not a masterpiece like others say). I liked this game, but even ignoring graphical glitches/bugs and all other flaws, the game just doesn't feel repayable in endgame. Battle grid and combat challenges also get stale after a while, the challenges are a bit too grindy and hard for my liking.

The crates stop rendering because they're considered part of the landing pad area. When you get far enough away the game culls that whole "room" and everything that's _supposed to be_ in it. I honestly wish they had allowed you to return to Ordo Eros and used that as the game's arena mode instead of the meditation training feature.

It’s cool to find alternative ways for skipping the bounty hunters though in my second play through going to Ordo Eris was fun and unlocks more scannable stuff

So I used the tripline glitch to turn off the bubbles, forced pushed them all and got mad exp for the kills. Too bad I saved in the ice caves after beating them. In order to get past them after they respawn, I have to either run past them before they load, or I can push jump all the way out to the zip line again. Either way, it always works out now. I can cheese them for easy exp now!

I recently discovered the boundary that makes the crates invisible. It also makes Greez and Cere invisible as well. They can be pushed using the crates all of the way to the invisible boundry, but Merrin cannot.

Okay so if I had to guess on the Ordo Eros part was originally in the game as a debugging tool but was left in since it was reasonably never going to be seen. Devs will leave things like this in the game so they can more easily access things while testing different mechanics or scripts. In the original test build selecting that option might have just loaded the script for the prison sequence.

I'm more inclined to think this section was just supposed to be longer but devs cut it before release because of limited time and/or resources. This seems very probable because: 1. Fallen Order generally feels rushed (texture streaming issues that make the game stutter near loading zones even on the most powerful PCs, lack of enemy variety, lazy level design, customization that was clearly tacked on as an afterthought etc.). 2. The game was published by EA - a company that is infamous for rushing games and thinking that single player experiences are not worth the effort. 3. The prison sequence we got is really short and disconnected from the rest of the game. It has almost zero foreshadowing apart from one throwaway line from Greeze and it has no follow up. Sorc Tormo is never brought up again, no one mentions him as a possible threat and the crew never discuss what to do about him. All we get is a few bounty hunters that appear in some levels and they are all reskins of the 3 possible bounty hunters we can bump into on Zeffo. Exactly what we would expect if the prison level was tacked on at the end using pieces of unfinished content. Considering the facts above, I think it was initially planned that Ordo Eris arc would be much longer and much more complex. Possibly the asteroid was supposed to be a proper level with multiple stages, alternative paths, secrets, collectibles and enemies. A place that we can revisit at any time just like Bogano, Zeffo and other locations. But during production developers were being rushed and they didn't manage to finish the whole thing. They didn't want to throw away everything, since the game is pretty short anyway, so they decided to settle for this 15-minute-long section where Cal escapes prison and fights on the arena cuz it's arguably a pretty cool set piece that serves as a nice break from the standard gameplay. This is why Ordo Eris can appear on the holomap under soem circumstances. It's just a remaining part of an unfinished arc - something devs forgot to delete when they were cutting content. I can easily imagine that the initial plan was to have a second level on Ordo Eris where Cal returns to do a mission for Greeze and deal with Sorc Tormo, since it was impied that Greeze has some debts and is hunted by Haxion Brood.

It could be, but: - It's very linear for openworld and ending is pre-chosen, no matter of your actions you cannot change it - It's unfinished even now, in almost 2022! And i am not now talking about glitches discovered by speedrunners.. There's 1 unfinished part of map in Tomb of Miktrull - It's souls game, it's just natural that it will get low rating as every souls game

Yeah, the jump around the shield is tricky. But it's way easier to just prevent the shields from spawning with the zipline trick. That should still work without problems, I believe.

There is a double jump requirement to complete dathomir. Using cheats, could you finish dathomir and illum without stepping foot on zeffo

Ilum you can skip completely but at the moment I think Zeffo 1 is necessary. You don't have to come back to Zeffo, though, as pull ability is not absolutely necessary to finish the game.

Nah, it actually despawns. I could make it reappear if I didn't let go and came back but once you drop it when it's invisible, you can't pick it back up. And it's impossible to just carry it all the way without dropping it because you'd have to jump across a few ledged and throw the box.

@@notacrow6286 Force flying glitch still works in the PC version but I never tried to use it during the prison sequence. I'm not sure how you'd be able to escape the level since it's a separate location that's detached from other worlds. You leave it by defeating all enemies on the arena, which activates the script that makes the Mantis appear. If you were to fly away from the level, you'd probably just fall into the empty abyss. But it's not necessary because you can skip the whole thing and never go to prison to begin with.

It's worth noting that I showcased everything using the PC version. Did you also play on PC or on console? It's possible that console versions work a bit differently. For example, it's not possible to perform the flying glitch on consoles anymore, from what I heard. Maybe other things changed, too.
