I was gonna share a whole buncha behind the scenes and cut content because this video has a lot of that stuff but oh man... this video tired me up. Now I must rest for the other [2 weeks] Reposting this in the pin because I just got a lot of comments about it, ahem! Ah, I see 3rd time was the charm on getting my audience to realize this 'break' is not 1 or 2 videos, but... a lot. I have a lot of videos to get out of my system, but I will go back to UT/DR so do not despair.

I like these videos, i know pretty much nothing about baldurs gate 3, so you are all my exposition to this game And also experiments that result in bugs and glitches are a huge interest to me, so win win to me Tho i kinda get how annoying it is for youtubers to get trapped in a single topic, idk how to deal with that

Bread, where's Rolan? 😰 In all seriousness, as a fan of both Deltarune and BG3, it's been a great joy seeing both from your channel and I'd love it if you continued posting videos for both. Undertale/Deltarune and BG3 both have this game design philosophy of "you'd never think the devs would take this action into account but somehow the devs did and the world reacts accordingly" that's really fun to discover, so seeing a UT/DR fan do videos on BG3 is really exciting to me. I wish the KZbin algorithm wasn't so punishing for it, which honestly seems extremely odd to me since BG3 has been such a phenomenon that I would have thought that KZbin would have promoted BG3 videos more because of it. Even so, I hope it doesn't discourage you. For what it's worth, I've been even more tuned in to your channel when you started posting BG3 as well.

Would you believe I actually had no idea Mizora forces his father to kneel, because I petrified her on my first playthrough? I actually had to update the script last minute while I was getting the footage, haha. I accidentally miss so much fun content trying to protect all my precious teammates from the evils of this cruel world.

I know baldur's gate 1 and 2 also have funny glitches, like one where you can get 65535 of a certain character's exclusive item or being able to save a character who normally dies for real at a certain point. A close friend of mine has played the first two a lot.

There used to be a way to do that with Karlach. Originally you could kill her, take a long rest, claim the reward from Mizora and the Paladins for killing her, and then use revivify to bring her back and get her in your team.

Oh man, I did something similar So in Chapter 2, there is a particular boss who I won't mention by name who's thing is that they are totally invincible until you do a quest. I decided I didn't care if I could see him or not, and decided to slowly assassinate everyone around them and then them anyways. In Chapter 2, there is a secret item you can get called the Signed Trade Visa by giving more than 5000 gold to a particular NPC. It has a unique version of Petrify called Flesh to Gold, which can be used once. So I stormed this particular NPC with one character, and as they leave me to his last minions and walk away, I approach with another party member and cast the spell. Then I save scum a bit and it actually holds. This invincible enemy is turned to gold This had some weird effects. First, the battle didn't end. I can sneak by him with any character not in battle, but I will enter combat if I walk by un-sneaked. If I break combat entirely, the gold effect also breaks. I suppose as some kind of fail-safe. I'm still playing the chapter, so I have to keep a babysitter by him. But, the game actually did register this as a kill, and I got a paltry 75 XP and a Soldier Inspiration Point for "Killing one of the bosses in the shadow-cursed lands in one round."

This is one of the next events in my game, I am bookmarking this video to watch after that. I wonder if anything would change if instead of using Flesh to Stone you used Flesh to Gold (signed trade visa from act 2). I may save and test that after watching this. (I will comment with an update about any differences)

Functionally they're identical, Flesh to Gold just makes the statue prettier. (Also Wizards can't copy Flesh to Gold into their spellbooks, so it's a one-time use spell). I kinda hate the Flesh to Gold mechanics because you can cast the spell, have the target fail their saving throw, and then lose the spell forever, making it basically worthless unless you save scum. Having the scroll not be consumed on use, or again, having Wizards be able to copy the spell if they meet the same requirements as Flesh to Stone would go a long way toward improving this.

Polymorph only lets me turn people into sheep. Disappointing, I know. Imagine if you had the same selection as Wild Shape. Then you could use it on your party members to make them into cats, frogs, spiders, birds.... the possibilities would be endless!
