I work 8-4 in an office type of job, but I am lucky enough to do it from home most days and I am implementing a lot of changes that Madisun shared on her videos, in terms of minimalism and slow living. I start my morning slowly, taking my time to enjoy breakfast with my kids before they go to school / pre-school / summer camps, I then work on priorities, ensuring to take my breaks during the day, have lunch with my husband most days, doing laundry during certain work calls and from 4pm, completely disconnect from work and start enjoying the rest of the day with my family. From 4pm there is still a lot of time to spend with my family, we can go for walks, play outside if the wheather is ok, play lego and enjoy a meal all together. I'd love to be able to stay home and solely take care of my kids or just work a few hours per day, but I cannot afford it. My life may not be as nice as Madisun's, but her philosophy of life can be applied also on people living a more standard life. Since I started slowing my days, enjoying the simple things, caring less about stuff and more about feelings, spending more quality time with the kids, I am much happier!

Your lifestyle is so relaxing. You are very fortunate that you can do this. Working from home is such a different dynamic. The chaos that comes with working outside the home is enormous, while still trying to manage a home, family, pets, schedules, etc. All while only being home a couple hours after work in the evenings..I feel like its easier to take things slow when you can make your own schedule. ...its almost impossible to take things slow and romanticize daily life when your up at 445 am to try to get everything done before work. , then not back till almost 6 pm and the chaos starts all over again. I need a course for busy working moms that work outside the home.

Or maybe you need to reasses if working outside the home is still aligned with your values anymore.

I pray that you can break free from this and find peace, sister! My husband puts it on himself to work while I stay home with the kids and homeschool. While we are well below the poverty line and there are still things in our life that I want to change, I am relieved to not live that 9-5 life. It’s worth the sacrifices we’ve had to make. I’ve thought about working from home but don’t even know where to start. No matter what you have to do I hope you find the support that you need! 🫶

@@crystalsharp7370 thank you for that. . I'm praying too. Cost of living is so high here in nj, really everywhere. We both need to work. I don't know where to start to work from home. I have no real marketable skills. I'm just tired and worn out. It's so sad for most women that are just stuck

What a fun new blog format! I love it and I'm so excited about your new course! I've been eating up all your videos/podcasts about work for women. God's been tugging at my heart to start sharing what's in my heart through videos for several years, but I really struggled with imposter syndrome. But I'm now persuing it and am looking forward to learning all about it in your new course!

Loved this format! Thank you! It still had the aspects that have drawn me to your videos…informative(quotes that get me thinking, podcast and makeup recs, ideas you had been thinking about, like sleep) and chilled out daily life(all the nature shots, morning mineral drink, home life). But it was extra fun to add in the vlog style.

Soo love ur channel and I have a similar story and I'm still finding my way in new slow living and more natural all the time . Background story both sides of my family were shoppers thrifters, and hoarders and not very good cleaners . I was the same way when I got married and started down that path . After having 2 under 3 and craziness of life I was unhappy with our home and the clutter and just the way it makes u feel so overwhelmed and like u can never keep up . After lots of podcasts , books, research, some library classes on minimalist slow living ; I found us slowing changing our living habits and welp 3 years later in the present we live in a lovely home that we remodeled ourselves and live extremely minimalist and a natural way of living and it is so much easier to enjoy life and keep up and the kids have such a better lifestyle .less is not less , less is more ! Slow and natural living has a deeper meaning that simplifies the areas in your life that usually overwhelm you . Also my son has health issues that even the best of best , johns Hopkins and Cleveland clinic haven't been able to help him we turned to homeopathic specialist and he is healthier and doing better than he ever has now !

The timing is sooo perfect. I'm a part time working mama who is dreaming about quitting the office life. But also feeling scared to jump into the unknown now that I have a family and a house and a "big girl job". But I believe in giving myself permission to venture into the unknown and follow the lily pads of my excitement. When you said you could picture the woman you're making this course for I got heart butterflies. I'm so excited to learn more

I wanted to comment about your comment about sometimes not liking how you look and that you thought you did enough internal work to not have to deal with that. What helped me during those times and feelings is knowing that it is spiritual warfare and doing things like a mirror fast and praying through those times and just being really gentle with yourself the moment you recognize that negativite feeling about how you look. I believe it is a spiritual attack and just something we have to learn to rebuke quickly and give ourselves grace. ❤ Much love sister

Thanks for this comment. I’ve been really struggling with this for the past year.. I thought I was past it too… and I haven’t been able to shake it. Seeing it as spiritual warfare definitely helps to shift my perspective. ❤

You are so inspiring. Thank you for all that you share 🙏🏼 It’s refreshing to hear you speak about how you still say negative things to/about yourself even tho it feels like that stuff would go away after lots of internal work and growth. So relatable. And how you thought caring less about putting effort into your physical appearance would be good for your mental health, but wasn’t. Also, so relatable. I deeply appreciate the realness. Lots of Love!

There is makeup out there with bad ingredients, however, people forget that a lot of those products are made by chemists and just because a specific ingredient is on the list, does not necessarily mean it is affecting you negatively in the final product. A lot of “natural” and “non-toxic” makeup can be just as harmful (like skipping out on preservatives for example). Just something to keep in mind!

This was a fun video. Such a relaxing, peaceful place. I think the makeup is pronounced Araza instead of Azara. You made me want to try it. I too have wasted soooo much money on toxic makeup in the wrong shades and various brushes. Good marketing makes us think we need those things. I'm starting to look at more natural products now. I think I tried that same brow pencil and didn't like it either. The pencil was too thick and is unable to be sharpened. I laughed when you said, "I'm not even going to tell you about it." You are so charming and cute. Your course sounds intriguing, and I look forward to taking it.
