Simply an amazing video, I am very thankful that you’ve made and posted this video. I own an IBEX 800T as well and I am now at the one year mark with 7,000 miles on it. The manual says the air filter should be replaced and thanks to you I now know that is something I will be able to do on my own. Thank you, I look forward to seeing more of your videos on this bike.

Thanks for the video, I went to fit some bar risers but found the front brake hose is just long enough, not enough spare to raise the bars up. I tried to find out where the hose went hoping there might be a tie or a clip I could remove to get a little more hose length but couldn't see where it disappeared to. Looking at your video it appears to go to what I assume to be the abs pump under the tank, gonna be a big job getting to it and maybe replacing the hose with a slightly longer braded hose. I've downloaded your video and it's going to be invaluable when it comes to stripping the covers and tank off etc. Thanks for posting.

Just barely got 2000 kms on this bike before the snow fell and after changing the air filter on my wing I’m relieved that doing basic maintenance on this one will be a lot easier. As for thé panels to get to the plugs and valve clearance checks it sucks. I regret selling my 93 R100GS … easiest bike to work on and it never let me down. Big thanks for this video!!

Hi John, thanks for your video. I do not need all the modern electronics inside the bike. When I see how complicated todays modern bikes are, I will keep my old suzuki v-strom 650.. which has simple construction and with all your video-tutorial is easy to maintain it almost by my self 😊. Even if is simple, it makes lot of fun..👍. Thanks sir.

This is not an easy bike to work on for the home DIY mechanic, there is way too many complicated panels & screws to remove in some kind of sequence just to access the engine. I was interested in this machine to replace my Honda NC750X but I do all my servicing at home & this is way too complicated & time consuming for me. Sorry CF Moto but your off the short list now.

Personally even if i could afford a 1250gs,wont go there cause its too heavy and bulky for me. Ktm 790 is also expensive for me,i could see the tracer 700 of yamaha but i think its only for road. Triumph 900 is also expensive(as all europeans). I consider 750 transalp a good choice. I thought that cf moto 800 mt explorer is the most value for money and in black colour i love it.

Hello John, Thank you for sharing how to remove the spark plugs on CFMOTO Ibex 800T. Man, they really use a lot of screws and bolts to hold those plastic panels, gas tank cover, etc, just to get to those spark plugs. Being an adventure bike, I guess CFMOTO doesn't want any parts coming loose or rattle at all. Regarding the installation of the spark plugs, I don't know if you applied some but I'd like to suggest to coat a little anti-seize on the spark plugs for easier removal next time. A must on the aluminum heads. Also instead of using grease to lube the rubber coil seal use a Dielectric grease. Many greases aren't compatible with certain types of rubber, which can cause seals to swell or crack and lead to damage and down-time.

I think the integrated front upper crash bar frame is my favorite part of this bike. The lower piece you have to buy separately looks nice too. Looks ways better than any one I can think of for any other ADV bike and they're OEM. I'm not in a place to buy one new so I'm curious to see how these fare on the 2nd hand market in a year or two. Going to keep an eye on the Ibex 800T for sure!
