Went on our 1st ever detecting adventure today before we read any instructions because we just wanted to get out. Found a religious medallion as the coil hit the ground the very first minute. What a rush! I’m sure it’s worth less than a cent but it was so much fun. We’ve just caught your video and glad you’re posting. We’ll bring water next time too!

Amazing hunt and nice silver trifecta of pre-GVI! Trying to scout old road ROW's in my area that would only have been used in the pre-car era. Only problem is most are bushy and would be an early spring or late fall hunt. Must have been easy to lose stuff on the road back then. Anything not secured tightly riding horseback or in a carriage could fly off anywhere.
@CanadianHistoryHunter5 жыл бұрын
thanks! yes this area in the video is overgrown now and it sucks I can't go back until the fall but can't wait till then. I'm sure you'll find some old roads in your area just keep doing research!

Nice finds!! Are you able to share the settings you had your nox on? I have the same machine and still learning. Thanks!
@CanadianHistoryHunter3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Honestly I just use the stock settings on the machine and use park 1 and park 2. The nox is a great machine! keep learning it and you'll find great things

We sure have had a lot of wet weather this spring. The mud made it hard on the pinpointer.

how do you detect old dirt roads, you detect directly on the road or on the side of it? where did u find the ring?
@CanadianHistoryHunter4 жыл бұрын
It was on a farmers field. If you do research on old maps sometimes you'll notice old roads that used to cut through farmer fields that are long gone now.
