Thanks for the look at the Mete SF. I've been a shooter for 30 years and a competition shooter for approx. 20 years (too old to think that far back). Since their debut, my go-to pistol was an M&P Pro 5" 9mm, which I shot only in stock configuration. Last year I bought my first Canik, a Mete SFx. For me, this new gun was an instant HR, except for my transition to optics on a handgun. It took me a while to get used to optics, but the SFx was great. Recently, I bought a Mete SFT and I can say this might be my all-time favorite pistol. And I have owned my share of pistols, including CZ. The Canik triggers are real, not hype. Yeah, not all pistols feel/shoot the same. But I still believe a skilled shooter will rule the day with any modern semi-auto that is not a malfunctioning POS and has a trigger

Canik is opening a new factory in the US in a few months so I expect a bigger aftermarket support in the near future.

One does not equate to the others. Customer base factors in more then build location.

@@workthetrigger Canik will gain the ability to sell in bigger numbers which translates in to an ability to have a bigger support team and aftermarket ecosystem. It is a matter of economy of scale. Canik lost the US customs service deal just because they did not have local production in the US. It will take some time but it is in store.

Like the channel but couldn’t disagree more. I’ve owned the p10c,19,pdp, arex delta, and an older 320. The canik sf and M&P 2.0c are by far my favorite pistols. But to each is own my friend

Alot of experts give that gun top marks. You sound like a Glock guy with the way you talk down the gun.

I love how anyone that points out issues with guns is automatically a "glock guy" to people wanting to ignore issues. I haven't carried a Glock in probably 10 years. I respect what they are, but I'll be the first one to tell you they're overrated. As are Canik, especially with their ever increasing price point. My channel isn't a place to come to help you feel confirmation about a purchase... It's the place you come to get all the info, pretty or not 😉

@@workthetriggerhonestly, after sitting through a 7 minute video where you trash talk not one but 2 viewer bases just as much as the gun, I think there was maybe 2-3 minutes of real information and a bad taste of "I don't want a second helping". You also assumed that everyone knows the other random guns you mention with no context or examples of those either in screenshots or, if you own them, in real time. I think maybe less trash talk, and more gun talk.

My Canik Mete SFX with the enhanced 90 degree trigger from the Rival series shoots much more tighter groups than the CZ-P10F at any distance. The CZ-P10F is my son's. Both are great guns in terms of reliability, trigger feel, ergonomics and accuracy but the Canik is my favorite so far. Love your content!

Picked up a Mete SFT Pro as a backup for my PDP Pro Compact. Yes, the grip is different, but that's just an adjustment period. I can't argue with the price because they throws in kitchen sink at you.I like my CZs & Glocks, but if you are talking about the best bang for your buck, it's this. Taurus Toro and Barretta APX1

I appreciate your perspective and willingness to voice your opinion despite going against the mainstream PewTube grain. I was ready to pit Canik and Walther against each other without giving options like CZ a fair shot. Thanks for that. As a newb shooter things like low bore and less slide mass are things I would have overlooked just for the trigger.

This guy acts like the tp9sf has crazy recoil. In what world is that gun hard to control while firing rapid shots? I was absolutely running that gun-today-accurate and fast at 15-20 yards.

Thanks, very rare honest take on mete. I have both, mete sf and Cz p10c, the second being my edc, while personally I am not a cz fanboy . That said, for the price p10 is a step above mete, you can see and feel the added value, plus proven reliability and track record, superb recoil handling. I will keep the mete, but only as a backup in-house or a truck gun, and for the wicked look.

I wouldn’t say Canik is the best gun on the market by any means. But I would 100% take my Canik tp9sf over any Glock every day of the week. And yes I have shot a Glock as well. It wasn’t terrible. But I definitely like my Canik a lot more than the glock

I have the tp9 elite combat executive then I bought the mete sft loadout kit which made me get the mete mc9 and I'm picking up the mete Apocalypse next Fri. And already told my dealer to get me the tti combat as soon as he can... I want to buy another brand but everytime I get one the come out with something else for me...

Thought I said it somewhere in there 🤷🏻‍♂️ But yes, best trigger... But there's a deminishing return on trigger quality anymore in striker guns. Most are plenty good for anything other then bullseye shooting. But yes, it does still have the best trigger.

I have shot one in passing. It definitely shoots better then the standard, which is awesome. But has some characteristics I'm not the biggest fan of. That being said, it's price does set it apart, because the comparable I like equally or more are hundreds more.

i want a gun that nobody have all my friends are glock and sig boys but i want a difference gun that nobody else have. i like canik pistols especially the mete line my sister have the mete sft and i got to have me a few of canik pistols. they're well made and they get the job done i like how it shoots so all i have to do right now is get me

Glock has been around for almost 4 decades and the most amazing modifications they’ve added was the MOs cut slides and an accessory rail… Glock fails at the take down pin, slide release and grip angle. I’ve carried Glocks for yrs, great guns.. but damn, keep up with the competition for God’s sake!

As new gun owner from 2 years ago m&p and Glock, Glock is not nice and when i got the m&p 2.0 and the trigger is ass, when I will shoot, it will get stopped by the safety trigger and then once u let go of the tigger it will shoot, very weird, when I haven’t even pulled the trigger fully and when I got the Glock, it was just uncomfortable, but once I got canik tp9 Elite sc, the reset and the trigger was good and it felt nice in your hands and even my wife liked it better the my Beretta sc and I’m trying to get this mete series compact and this my first time ever seeing someone talk down on canik

Notice how this guy poo poos Caniks strong points (trigger, price) but accentuates minor weaknesses that are still better than 90% of other guns out there. I mean the Glock 19 has less percieved recoil? Come on. I own both and I consider the Glock 19, and most Glocks for that matter to be on the snappy side.

First up, price is no longer a strong point. Second, you're letting your Canik bias show by denying the difference in perceived recoil. What's the point in doing a review if I lie like everyone else does? The point is honesty, even if it makes the fanbois mad.

@workthetrigger Bologna. Caniks are still significantly cheaper than other firearms in the same class and provide significantly more accessories that you would otherwise have to buy. Second...I have no Canik bias. I own one Canik which I love (Rival SFX) but in fact I dislike the MC9 as well as the early TP9s because they don't fit my hand comfortably. However that is a purely subjective opinion. Kind of like your BS opinion that the Glock 19 is softer shooting. The difference is I don't pretend my criticisms are objective and go around bashing the brand.

What exact models are you comparing when you say that glocks have more recoil. I the the review was solid and definitely opinion based. Thats what youtubers do. I have tried many canik pistols. At first they were very underrated. Now they are very overrated. Great marketing for a so so pistol. CZ P10. Terrible marketing for a fantastic pistol.

If your comparing a comparable glocks, the Glocks definitely have less muzzle flip and less recoil. Not even a question. The accessories they come with aren’t very good. A crappy holster, crappy magazine loader, and a crappy cleaning kit 😂. GTFO with that nonsense canik fan boy talking point. The accessories it comes with are junk. Price point he is right they are more expensive than they used to be and far less of a value than they used to be. I am also luke warm on them. My caniks have had issues but the only real special thing they have in their current price point is that walther trigger. Overall they are just ok but there are better options to include the new echelon. The echelon flat out smokes the mete.

I like mine, but... for anyone considering it just look at aftermarket support (mainly holsters). It is a good gun but if you plan on using it as a CCW there are only a few non junk holsters out there.

The Canik trigger is the best striker trigger on the market. But triggers are a diminishing return on quality. At some point, it can't make up for downsides... And the Canik is that point, IMO

This is better than the G19. Metal sights, amazing factory trigger, more ergonomic grip, wide magwell, factory slide cut for red dot to name a few. Glock has none of that for the price tag of this gun.
