Hi I hope you answer my question. Can the camera able to connect to the Monitor TV using HDMI and can take a pic using a remote control? I am planning to have a self portrait photo studio, where people just look into the camera, and the TV for framing and have them take a pic by themselves.

Unfortunately, it does not have it. 90D does.

This particular HDMI output option in settings is only available if you have your camera in "Video Record" mode, using the toggle switch at the top of the camera.

I have a Canon 80D and I want to use it to take live videos, I connect the HDMI output to the capturer and from the capturer to the cell phone and only the video comes out, but the audio does not come out. As I do. -Does AUDIO come out via HDMI from the Canon 80D live? -When playing recorded videos if the audio is present. Thank you

Thank you so much for your video .. but I have got a question, please .. I am using eos R , and I want to mirror it during vedio and photo mode with the cam screen working . I was able to make it mirror on the vedio mode , but during photo mode, the cam screen is off , and nor working. How can I make both my cam screen together with my LCD screen work together while mirroring .??? I need every thing shown on the cam screen to be shown both screens from setting to histogram.. every thing . Hope you can help please 🙏 🙏🙏 Best regards

Hi Michael, thanks for this. I know I’m a little late to the party but I’m hoping you can help. I can get my EOS 7D Mk II to display on my tv using hdmi out as your video describes BUT the camera constantly auto shuts off after about 25-30 mins every time! So live streaming via hdmi on the EOS 7D Mk II beyond 30 mins is impossible. Any ideas?

Please try to help the fix on 5D Mark II, It's a big trouble on HDMI output, and no one tries to show how to fix this.

We use my 7d for streaming church services, but the hdmi output stops after 30 minutes unless the 7d gets a button press sometime prior to the 30 minute blackout. You know a fix for this?

Lookup Magic Lantern software for Canon. You can set it up to output clean hdmi and there's a setting to disable the 30 min timer.
