Thanks for the great video with all the information and all the time you took for gathering them! You calm voice suits such a complex modification perfectly! One Question left: do i need a new reset code each time the printer "thinks" its sponge is full or can i use the key over and over again?

Thanks for your kind comments. To answer your follow up question, you would need a new key each time to reset the waste ink counter. You may be able to find a copy of the relevant Canon service tool that resets the counter but you do need the correct one and finding that can be a major undertaking.

Major improvements can be achived by going into print head replacement routine in maintenance first. It will come w/ 3 benefits 1/ will move print heads to center rather than requiring force 2/ it will ask you to shut off ink valve, preventing receding of ink from pipes 3/ you won't have to do ink flush.

Not sure if you're commenting on the correct video here as there's no need to do any of those things as part of this installation. Your points are relevant for other troubleshooting steps when trying to fix things like air bubbles in the ink tubes, printhead replacement, etc... but this video doesn't touch on any of those topics.

Can i velcro the printer potty to the printer sideways and take off when emtying ?

You could BUT you’d need to be mindful of the vent hole position in the lid and also make sure the lid seal was seated properly. Personally I wouldn’t recommend it as it’s risking a leak and ink stain mess.

It’s close but there’s a specific video on this channel for the G6050 which is the UK/EU equivalent of the G6020.

I bought the kit and fitted to my canon G5050 and it works successfully till now. I hav now error code C000, can I fix it with weicreset software? What would have caused this error. Any idea?

Not come across that error myself but a quick google indicates one of the printheads may not be seated properly and/or some paper fragments may be blocking things up internally.
