do you or someone else have a good video for how to get video shot post processed quickly and viewable for the novice dad with kids? Thanks

If quick view-ability and processing is a priority I would avoid shooting in a LOG format and instead shoot in a standard profile so that the color and contrast is baked into the image.

Nice detailed video. How to shoot in bright sunlight if you do not have ND filter?
@BrunoPozo4RealКүн бұрын
You would either have to raise the shutter speed and accept the lost motion blur. Or you would close the aperture and accept the deeper depth of field. I typically don’t like those compromises so I’ll use an ND filter.

I just tried shooting outside for the first time. Light from the sun kept changing due to cloud cover, which ruined my exposure. If shutter speed is constant at 1/50, what do you recommend changing, aperture or iso, to adjust exposure to compensate for the sun dipping in and out while trying to film outside?

Bruno, Awesome content! Would you do a video or share recommendations for clog in a concert environment? We assume it's totally different that what you recommended above because the face flesh tone will be colored by stage lighting that is constantly changing in hue and brightness. We can't find any low light concert videos for R6 Mark II on things like clog, IPB vs. IPB light, if 4K is worse for low light, if High ISO compensation should actually be off etc. Thanks!

Sure thing. I actually started recording a stage for Improv Comedy that has taught me how I like to set it up. Stay tuned :)
@stiescreativeagencyАй бұрын
@@BrunoPozo4Real Awesome. Thanks. I rented a R6 Mark II for a concert shoot this Friday actually. I've scoured KZbin for hours trying to find someone knowledgeable at that level. I may just opt for 4k 30fps so I have some more data for post zooming and digital stabilization if needed. I feel 30fps is going to give me smoother footage with performers. Jury is still out on IPB or IPB light since it will be edited on a MacBook. But I need to squeeze as much quality as I can. clog looks amazing, but concerned with the contstant light changes I won't be able to rely on a one time zebra pattern to give me a good benchmark. I may opt to skip clog and apply color filters to simulate color grading in post. Not as good but getting blown out footage would be worse.
@BrunoPozo4RealАй бұрын
@@stiescreativeagency In your use case I would recommend shooting in 4k30 in IPB and just skip the Clog-3. Clog-3 takes some time and practice to get comfortable exposing. And if you expose clog-3 incorrectly it can be really challenging to fix. While the standard video profiles you will see how the final video looks while you shoot. So you can adjust things before it gets out of hand. Best of luck!

When shooting in Clog-3, you get the most dynamic range at 800 iso+. Dropping the iso below 800 removes a few stops of dynamic range in the shadows. You can visibly see this if you have histograms enabled and drop the iso below 800 (the graph limits change)

on the Log Settings, what is the View Assist option and why you leave it OFF ? (the video is a bit too fast, especially for people who depend on reading the subtitles)
@BrunoPozo4Real5 ай бұрын
Sorry about that, I’ll keep that in mind for the future! View Assist allows the preview of the video on the camera to have contrast/color added. When view assist is off it will keep the log look which is grey/low contrast.
