Plasma Sword holds a special place in my heart. I played it like it was my job back in the day on Dreamcast. I love building and tinkering with arcade cabinets and handhelds for emulation, and every time I test my Dreamcast ROMs, I always boot up Plasma Sword. Hayato and Black Hayato are cool as hell, Bilstein is great as the imposing Darth Vader boss, and Zelkin is my all-time favorite. I would give anything for Capcom to resurrect this series using the RE Engine.

From what i saw, Skull Girls 2nd Encore and this tournament were a BLAST, also huge shout out to Vampire Saviour tournament, great vids as usual!. Epic 1 pixel win against Gangetsu from the robot!

Yeah, so the overhead hammer that Kaede does at the start of the ground that Moliopp comboed into Plasma Sword does not damage because it's her main juggle starter. She gets a /ton/ of damage without having to guess on Wack-A-Mole, I would actually argue that combo starter is one of the highest in the game. But. Whack-a-Mole is way funnier. :)

Plasma Sword is a great game. The original - Star Gladiator - wasn't anything special, but the sequel is stupidly good fun. Shame it never found its audience.

In order to lose in a double elim tournament you need to lose twice to be eliminated, the person who is in winners has to lose two matches against the person in losers since they haven't lost a game until then

Unfortunately I think Capcom will only start to shed light on their other fighting game franchises until the Street Fighter fatigue finally sets in (if it ever does). Street Fighter is such a cash cow there’s really no monetary benefit to putting resources in another IP when Street Fighter’s doing all the work.

SF a cash cow? XD Capcom didn't want to make a SFV in the first place. SF is very small in comparison to RE and Monster Hunter. SF6 is the last opportunity that Capcom is giving to the franchise.

It is unfortunate that from a business perspective these other fighting games are not logical for gains and any way if they did come out with these games it would be just a re-release instead of remaking because they're is no sense in putting in the effort and money to making a brand new game. I'd rather see an evolution Rival schools but they caseem to get past the primitive knowledge of Street Fighter. I will add this that when SNKs as a company created different fighting games from other games they brought something new to the table every single time they did so and street fighter has only gained different place styles in abilities and such not and ways equivalent to SNKs knowledge And understanding of growth. Yes they didn't have upgraded technology until recent years, bu they always did something unique that was in most ways better and more satisfying than Street Fighter. Changing environments was ahead of its time for example. Tekken as a game has evolved more than Street in less time and that says a lot about the end game at Capcom. Either you're a retro company or you're a triplA company, make up your mind. Yo even Guilty Gear is a different gave now and I thought they'd never leave the X series of game play.

They need to bring back Hayato & June bare minimum, put them in more games. The rest of the cast while cool have zero "star power". Kinda bland and boring. At least by fleshing out the main hero and heroine, it'd give more shine to the series similar to the Darkstalkers girls
