I spent 3 weeks here last month. This is the most beautiful place that I've ever visited. Walking along sea point watching the waves crash against the pier, having a beer at the V&A Waterfront, hiking Table Mountain, watching the sunset at Lions Head, breathing in the fresh Atlantic air at Cape Point... I found it very difficult to leave this place. I was tempted to cancel the rest of my travels and just stay here. Not once did I feel unsafe. In fact, I found the people to be incredibly friendly. A smile goes a long way. I will 100% be back to this beautiful city again.

We sent one of our star cameramen back to his old hometown for this shoot, and when we received the footage we were blown away. Not only are the shots spectacular, he returned with three times as much footage as usual! Despite out best efforts to cull shots and limit the video to the usual eight to ten-minute run time, our writer, composer and editor were so seduced by both the colors and stories of Cape Town, they decided to let this one run out to almost twenty minutes. So here it is, our longest video ever. We hope you’ll be as inspired by the richness and rhythms of Cape Town as we were. Enjoy! My hubby and I are heading there for six weeks tomorrow and we can't wait to watch those stunning sunsets over Table Mountain and to see those cool African penguins at Boulders Beach. I live in Honolulu and my neighborhood is very close to Diamond head. Cape Town kind of reminds me of Honolulu especially the Diamond head area.

I don't know what the hell you're trying to say with "nice try", but of course the past affects the present, not that that means we need to remain stuck in the past like some ultra-right wing idiot from Ventersdorp. If it had not been for SA's post-colonial past, the country would today have been in a worse condition than Zim. But, if the first settlers (both black and white) had never moved from their own pasts, they would still have lived in caves. One needs to take the good from the past and build the future; that's the way of progressive thinking. If you remember only the bad, you're doomed to be stuck in a past that leads nowhere.
