Watching from Perth, Scotland😝. I’ve always been passionate about Surfing, doing Surfboard ding repairs. Would love to get into Shaping, I’ve now become a subscriber. Your uploads are a real inspiration and an invaluable source of information which is very hard to obtain, only an apprenticeship could offer the knowledge you impart out and even then one would be very hard pressed to gain that experience currently. Same here, I've done ding repairs on my own board and surf whenever I can but as you know living on the east coast it can be a long wait for good conditions. These are some of the best board building videos on the net, his stuff is invaluable as a resource. I've got a 10'2 blank sat in my garage just now waiting for me to start shaping it and i'm pretty much going to try and use every bit of advice I've gleaned from Pieter's videos to do it. Incidentally I live just outside Dundee!

Man, you call it out like it is. I agree. I used to call myself a shaper, but then I started calling myself a board maker, because I realized that people who scrub blanks after CNC are also calling themselves shapers. I thought, wait a minute. I do the whole thing. By hand, from start to finish. So what does that make me? Cant call myself a shaper, can I?
