Works, but honestly this boss kills the replay value of the game by really giving a bright light to the issues of the combat in the game. The boss having a grab attack thats hard to telegraph due to the camera being squandered by his entire character makes the fight incredibly poor.

Very last minute when he is coming down on you doesn’t need to be a perfect dodge but should be enough time

How do u dodge the red floor

I did and he got up every time I performed a heavy attack, so I stop using them and played the patience game and beat him on my second attempt after watching the video
