Train legs was a really good point, I'd like to add one thing to that: I have come to the conclusion that after work, it's always best to engage in physical activity. That's why I tend to go to the gym. Following up a mental task with another mental task dulls my productivity but if I do a physical task after a mental task I am much more energetic because I am not using my mental strength. After the physical task I have way more mental clarity and sharpness to fit one more thing before the day ends like practicing a new skill etc. This whole cycle of following up a mental task with a physical task does wonders.
@TheVMbros2 жыл бұрын
I totally agree. After studying all morning and afternoon, I go to the gym. After that, I head home and I am able to study for a few more hours. If I didn't go to the gym I would probably feel tired and unmotivated.

Dude, the strength transference is something I experienced recently. I didn't train legs for month, did it last 2 weeks and my lower back pain just disappeared( I'm 20 btw so the back pain was concerning) and my next bench day I went from a 1 rep max of 190lbs to 235lbs. Let's just say I'm never skipping legs again, idk if there is any real science behind this but I feel way better.

I was recently asked to help onboard a new collogue by taking him through the project that I am working on. Instead of doing a 30 minute coffee thing or an informal meet and greet, I did slides, got a room with a projector, and even put together some preliminary questions. All within 30 minutes as the onboarding had to be done that afternoon. The HR lady was impressed as no one really puts effort into the "show him what you're working" thing. What I get from your videos is that I need to take everything I do seriously while getting things done efficiently. I don't think you can run a billion dollar empire if you cannot quickly prepare a 20 minute presentation.

I'm always proud of the fat guy running, I feel there's a connection between a fat person trying to lose weight and someone on nofap trying to quit porn addiction, I been expressing this in my videos lately. A fat person might start to feel a lot of shame in the moment because he doesn't look as good as he wants and his mind tells him that no matter how hard he tries he's never going to lose that weight so why not enjoy themselves and eat some junk food. It's the same for porn addiction, they don't have the perfect nofap streaks as people they see online and their mind tells them they're never going to be able to quit this addiction and they will never attract women because they're beta so they might as well watch porn. I know this way of thinking is illogical but when you're really depressed it happens often, be careful out there on your self improvement journey and make sure to practice self love.

I just finished my 5 weeks of training for my hot yoga teaching certification... hardest fucking thing I have ever done in my life! 12 hours a day of non-stop yoga. 7 days a week. In Cancun (and NOT the hotel zone) Mexico. We were in a 20 X 20 room heated with open flame propane heaters at 105 degrees and 70% humidity. I was also trying very hard to keep to my vegan diet... not easy when you have only an hour break to find something to eat. The third day, after all the intestinal issues and doing SO MUCH yoga every day, I broke down crying hysterically. I think I cried daily... BUT I KEPT GOING. Washing my yoga clothes in the sink, learning the dialog, perfecting my best postures... AND I MADE IT. I DID IT... and now, returning to "real life" has been so incredibly hard. I cannot explain to people how much my mind and body have transformed inside and out. They see the physical difference but, my mind and emotions are never going to be the same. I am a 1% Female.

This is a topic with a very slippery slope. These days the concept of "man" has been stretched to all sides and it's easily to take it the wrong way and that's how many young men fall into the incel rabbit hole and all those bs "Alpha males" become popular. You're making great points and I think you're on the right track for the most part in tackling this subject. It's a lot more to look at the examples of what you aspire to be rather than bringing others down to feed your insecurity. A perfect example of this to me is Sir Christopher Lee. A true man and a true gentleman who lived a more impressive life than many others would with multiple lifetimes. Not everyone can follow in his footsteps ofc but be inspired by his actions.

im with you on the no fap. i never liked the whole community or anything, it was just clear to me that jerking off wasn't normal, and it's a lot like smoking weed. when you stop you don't suddenly get benefits but like a week later you really do, and you keep them. my decision making and motivation and confidence in general is so much worse after doing either, and for like a whole week. so now im like...do i really want to start a week of being a shittier version of myself? when i do slip up...im literally waiting like the next few days to come back into myself. it is a different plane idc what anyone says about it. all that addiction to weakness holds a lot of energy and when it stops directing us we get the power to direct it. love this video. added it to my pristine playlist of "watch again and again". Some great points of benefit, especially the reminders on being decisive and "training legs". I think in your last point, you could probably keep monetization in the future with "be valuable" or "perform with excellence". On that last point, there is some tension in trying to both interdependently contribute without being insecure and finding your personal sense of self and confidence at the mercy of your own perceptions of how you think others perceive you. That is the subject of many influencers' depression. I think it's preferable to know what it means to be high value, to take feedback on that and incorporate the best of it, and then strive as much as you can without surrendering your personal security to wondering about others.

I meet and train with other people, who are lot fitter than me, and their efforts towards constantly improving themselves inspire me more. I can already see a bit of difference in my attitude. I dont necessarily have to be better than others. I just feel that i have to be my better self. I am nowhere in the Top 1%. Or even Top 30%. Maybe 50%. But i would rather be on the right side of this than continue with a mundane life. Maybe i will get in top 20%, who knows, but i will be happy i have put in my efforts. I’m a plumber by trade and work very hard. I used to do running and gym afterwards and felt great, recently (last month or so) had a back injury and took time off work and have mentally felt terrible. I think physical output creates mental clarity and focus. Especially if your physical output is towards a goal, for example, running for a race. It makes the rest of your work life seem easy in comparison and stops you from falling into the trap of alcohol and smoking like I do when I don’t have that goal ahead of me.

@@thespacemangames5144 I never did a Myers-Briggs test but more than likely I am. I’m very focused and driven. Workout six days a week. Play guitar keyboards and sing in my band. I practice anywhere from 1 to 4 hours a day in music. I’ve always disciplined myself and I work for a company that taught me total discipline, UPS.
