That wasn,t a Trans Am, It was just an 86/89 Firebird, no harm no foul! I bought an 84 Z28 that only had 80,000 miles on it and it was rust free and it ran good. I ripped it apart because it was worth more as a parts car than it was as a whole car! I have an 87 IROC that I'm probably going to do the same thing with! The third gens haven't gone up in value yet but the parts sell good! I'm into old cars big time and I spend all of my spare time working on them to make them nicer but I have to admit I get a kick out of seeing you guys crush them! I just found your channel this last week and I've noticed for the most part you aren't crushing anything good! I saw some 50'S, 60'S and 70's get crushed but they were cleaned out, I'm guessing that you sell on line as part of your business!

You do that and I catch you doing that and I will give you a good ol fashioned talking to with help. Lol YOU DO NOT EVER PART THEM OUT!! You restore them and drive them man. Or add them to a collection. I hate it when people part out cars that don't need to be parted out. Irocs are getting rare and yes they are going up in value. 3rd gens you bet they are.
@misterbuklau40534 жыл бұрын

@@extremedrivr I haven't parted the IROC yet but the 84 Z28 got the axe, I've parted out a lot of cars in the last few years including 8 71/72 Cutlasses, A 68 Lemans convertible, A 70 Cougar convertible ,a 1969 Pontiac Custom S, a 67 Lemans hardtop, and a 64 Corvair, I live in Ohio, The land of salted roads and rust! When they get rusty it's just not worth it unless it's a rare car! I had every car I have parted out setting in my parking lot at my shop and nobody wanted to pay any money for them so they got the axe! So why do they not part the car out more? On that caravan, they could have saved the tail light lenses, all of the windows could be used, what is someone still driving one needs those parts
@johnmarshall60883 жыл бұрын
Because it cost money to part a car out. You have to pay an employee to pull parts and then you have to store them someplace waiting for a customer to buy them. Some of these look like they’ve been sitting at a pick and pull for a while the longer a car sits without making the yard money is wasted money. Depending on the price of scrap metal they may make more money for the yard as scrap.
