Super hyped, with the “stimulus check” (car parts check) I had enough to buy myself some wide wheels and meaty tires. Now to wait for the paycheck to finish it off with lowering springs as of this time. Man I’m hyped to finally start this wrx build🔥🤤

I would also say talk to an exhaust shop before you decide on exhaust. I was about to dish out $850 on a magnaflow cat back system and then talked to my local shop and he got me hooked up with the same magnaflow resonator that the $850 set had and then he did the rest of the pipe himself and even put on some burnt tips all for $300. Sounds exactly the same as the full magnaflow system for less than half the price.

My favorite mod is easily more power, always. With that in mind, I think its important to remind people not to overlook brake upgrades.. especially if you're making a vehicle faster or adding bigger, heavier wheels. Many of us initially overlook that sometimes lol
@kcscustom97594 жыл бұрын
Tbh I’m a performance guy so I’d have to say my favorite mods definitely have to do with engine performance. However on a new build soon as the engine & trans are worked out you know I’m headed over to fitment industry to get some fresh coils, wheels & tires on the way👍🏼

People tend to think lowering springs are terrible but I have to disagree. I got Eibach Sportline springs for my car and installed them the other day, it looks better and it handles so much better. Definitely worth it. I plan to get some Bilstein B8 shocks to go with them sometime, but I'll stick with my stock shocks until they wear out.

If anyone here is buying “aftermarket coilovers” for less than $1,000, you shouldn’t. You can get a lot of other awesome bang for your buck deals that exclude coilovers. I’ve ran TEIN and BC on my Impreza, and the tein coilovers are built half-assed, both of my front strut assembly starting leaking oil, and BCs were okay except they RIDE LIKE SHIT...that was after adjusting, beating, adjusting, beating, and adjusting my car again to obtain the LEAST SHIT drivability. Listen guys, we are all here because we like cars. Don’t fuck up your car with shitty parts like I did. If you ever ever ever want to buy suspension, there’s two ways to do it right; air-ride, or KONI yellow strut assembly with either eiback or tein springs. Never coilovers unless you plan on never driving that car on the street again.

I threw a bigger throttlebody and plenum spacer on my G35, I also got a suede NRG wheel and some adjustable control arms. It cost around $1000 for everything, I don’t get a cheque because I’m not American but that’s what I did while my car was parked all winter.

Can you guys talk about maintenance as far as lowering springs vs full coilover sets? I want to lower my genesis coupe, but I'm conflicted with my options. I put Megan Racing Street Series coilovers on my last car, and the overall experience was a bad time being that it became more and more of a pain in the butt as they aged, that made me feel the purchase wasn't worth it the headaches. I've never experienced lowering springs that get's me the drop that I want, and so many people say coilovers are where it's at.

Is it worth money to get full coil overs? Or are they only useful if I’m looking to lower the car (which I’m not)
@FitmentIndustries4 жыл бұрын
Coilovers would still be a good handling upgrade at stock height! You don’t add the benefit of a lower center of gravity but you’d still have less body roll and better feel!

I have a question for you guys and idk how to email that question so i'll write it here: I'm going to get a 2015 Lexus is350 F-sport and I want to lower it. The hting is, in my city(Montreal) there's a SHIT TON of pot holes and winter here are like 8 months. I'd like to ride low but not too much that i get screwed over by the bad roads and at the same time i'd like to readjust it back to normal height for winter. Air suspensions looks good but i don't want to lose trunk space so I was thinking coilovers...is that a good idea? do I have to remove them and place the stock coils on winter? Do i lose anything big the suspension Lexus provides when I select the driving modes? Thank you so much!
